So, your supposed super counter depends on a series of approximate estimations regarding angles and assuming a bunch of stuff from a fictional universe operates exactly like a real one? And you call Gubz's numbers hypothetical? And just to be clear, which explosion are you claiming took place 140km from the ground? Your post is, quite frankly, extremely messy, and hard to track what you are assigning to what.
No, my post is pretty clear.
1st. I demolish Gutz calculations proving how erroneous they are
2nd. I bring evidence proving that the distance claimed by Gutz is erroneous
3rd. I bring evidence showing that acceleration takes part in the total velocity of the scene ergo Superman doesn't really travel that fast.
Finally: Proving Gutz numbers are wrong, I can finally formulate a number based on the evidence brought previously.
Did you even read my post TheVault?
And, you are not even countering my points/evidence but giving your opinion on my calcs, which isn't valid for debate.

is 140km, then we will have to agree to disagree on this whole thing, because we are not going to come to a middle ground then. [/B]
Bring evidence that is 480km then!
Cause i CLEARLY brought evidence showing it isn't 480 but rather 140km.
Further evidence:

You can clearly see Metropolis below the nuke. Should the distance be 480km (which is satelite distance) you would be at a continental view not city view.
Conclusion: It's clearly not 480.
I guess what am trying to say here TheVault is that either you bring evidence proving that it's 480 (countering MY evidence) or you concede.

I did. And the fact that I only needed one screenshot to bring your calculated distance into question speaks volumes. I don't have to prove something that is known fact and has been proven plenty of times in RL already. That's the entire reason Gubz used the numbers he did, after seeing where they were when the nuke hit them (outside the atmosphere), because the distance is well-documented. Research conducted by actual scientists >>> your interpretation of the size of an explosion cloud.

Picture rebuked mr. TheVault.
And you are beginning to prove that you are incapable of countering my evidence. You are beginning to sound like h1 when Nibedicus counters his points 😂
So? Are you gonna bring evidence? Cause i already did.

No, you didn't. You just proved you are phucking retarded by claiming that a collection of lights visibly the size of a small country, relative to the scale of the rest of the planet around it, is just Metropolis alone. And that's ignoring that the nuke hits them more than 20 seconds later, when they have visibly traveled much further, as shown in the shot I posted. You can literally make out landmasses at 2:12, which is still a number of seconds before impact. So, no, you didn't counter anything.
But okay, if you insist. The shot I posted visibly shows them outside of Earth's atmosphere.
https://www.space.com/17683-earth-atmosphere.html
That tells us how far the atmosphere extends (and they were further away than that). And there are plenty of other sources to back those numbers up.

The fact that you think your perception over reality is above that of Physics IS RETARDED.
The fact is you can clearly see Metropolis from 480km. A 15km City is somehow visible from such a height 😂 You are indeed funny.
If we use degrees (which is a unit used to measure far objects from a human perspective) the city is about 6deg. That means the distance of the rocket is about 140km Again!
Again TheVault, bring me evidence not your opinion.
I am bringing you actual physics here!
Once again:
https://oneminuteastronomer.com/860/measuring-sky/
Go learn how to measure stuff, plug numbers into calculations, and bring evidence!
P.S:
What is according to you the Atmosphere?
Cause 480km isn't outside the atmosphere 😂
It actually falls under the Thermosphere which is a layer of the atmosphere.
You shouldn't have underestimated me.

Keep proving what an idiot you are. Just makes for good popcorn material. Again, Earth's atmosphere is already documented. I don't need to redo calcs that are already known.
And the irony of talking about perception when you base your statement on you perceiving a series of lights to be just Metropolis.
Edit: And FYI, I am well aware of what the atmosphere is composed of. And the article I linked also clarifies:
The thermosphere is considered part of Earth's atmosphere, but air density is so low that most of this layer is what is normally thought of as outer space.
Actually, now that I look at it, you can see light being refracted, resulting in an aurora effect, to the right side of the picture (of which they are also above, despite being closer to the camera). Which, as the article I linked explains, occurs in the thermosphere. So, there is another distance reference.

Clearly you have shown your incompetence at this. You are just lowballing evidence without any numbers on your behalf! You are a great debater! 😂
At least h1 bothers going arround plugging numbers and bringing material into the table.
480km falls under the Thermosphere, which is a layer of the atmosphere ergo not outside it! The same NASA link you posted claims it.
And nice, at least next time you won't underestimate me as easily! 😂
In other words, am done with this. Either you bring numbers/evidence or there is nothing to talk about.

Good. We are done. Because if you read the article properly and then studied the picture properly, you would realise that I am right. But you have your head lodged so far up your own ass, I imagine you're staring at your own tonsils right now.

Okay. You go learn some astrophysics, a bit of common science, a course on nuclear physics if you can, and maybe a couple of math courses.
You know what this reminds me of? When you claimed Cage > Cap by trying to lowball Cap's feats.
Seems you haven't changed TheVault.

lol dude, keep ignoring proven scientific evidence.
And lol x2 at me lowballing Cap when the closest I came to "lowballing" was saying his indestructible shield would aid him in his striking against IM (as it would focus the force over a smaller area, thus increasing the pressure on that area, and being tougher than the suit, have a better chance of piercing it without being compromised itself in the process), a view which is not even remotely unreasonable to anyone with any common sense. And that the bulldozer feat he never performs onscreen was a high-end outlier compared to his other feats at the time which, again, if looking at the feats available then, is also not unreasonable.
But the fact that you feel the need to start crying about off topic things shows you've lost. So, I am done here.

If lowballing and bringing 0 evidence on your behalf means you've won then.... why shoud i bother.
