Movies, books, games, music, food, cars, etc etc etc. When people start bringing up sales, it tends to mean they don't have much else of an argument.
Why do you keep shilling (not to mention lying about the characters they push) for them so hard?
What's DC Extreme?
...How dumb are you?
WTF. sales dictate if if something is successful, OF COURSE it matters, that's beyond ignorant to say.

too many sources/statistics backing me up, and You still have nothing 😂
What you mean "How dumb I am" Superman has always been a model of restraint, self-control, and responsibility: doing the right thing even though no one is forcing you to, the ultimate boy scout,
UNFORTUNATELY that message doesn't really resonate in the modern world, when we're surrounded by examples of powerful people doing whatever they want to and getting away with it. Readers are too cynical for the continued power fantasy of Superman taking down the corrupt corporate interests when as recent politics have shown, people are more than willing to burn it all down to set things right, which is the exact opposite of Superman's entire MO.
Superman is an example of right winning out, when everyone already knows it doesn't; hell, even Captain America had to come face to face with a more "real world" version of himself in the form of Hydra Cap, who Deadpool actually called out as ACTUALLY representing what the current America better than Cap himself.
While at one point the hope he represented may have been necessary, today Superman just an escapist fantasy.
So, no nobody can "Relate" to Superman, besides being delusional.
life taught me early life isn't fair and isn't black and white and more of a shade of gray. Characters like Supes push this only good and evil narrative to much. But yet. Somehow. His fans think he's relatable...

Oh yeah. But does he sell? That's Als goal post. I can't think of a single memorable Blade story arc either without googling
It use to be Black Panther be was the second highest selling and longest running at the big 2, but Coats ****ed him his sales. Currently it's Miles.

We weren't talking about success; we were talking about whether something was interesting or not. If you can't stay on topic, then why should I bother replying?
And no, how successful something is does not relate to how interesting something is. One is a measurable metric, the other is not.

Hence I brought up sales. sales indicate DC is garbage

Yeah no sales were brought up to show Marvel has way more overall success so they can take more chances and heighten the possibility of a lesser known character blowing up , especially nowadays with the movies etc. DC lacks that
and no Superman isn't "interesting" Superman is held up as an unbeatable ideal that just doesn't match the current climate, an unbeatable God, an infallible symbol of hope.
That just DOESN'T resonate with a world in which we're already mostly beaten and losing.
Is the symbol of hope still a good thing? Absolutely. But it's not really something people can RELATE to.

If there was more interest the sales would be better. Them concentrating on the Trinity before everyone else make the secondary appear less interesting of not ACTUALLY less interesting because it’s obvious most of DC’s effort is placed with the Big 3. One begets the other
