There you have it folks. qwertyuiop1998 thinks current Superman started his career in the 1940s because of a tagline that said "one timeline where everything matters". D1s ph@cking clown...
I mean, like I said, we can start a thread and ask the opinions of mods 🙂

Is Manhattan's continuity reboot in Doomsday Clock still a thing, or has that been superseded by something else?
And I think the Metaverse idea hasn't been superseded yet.
In Flashpoint Beyond, it mentions the Metaverse(the story where DDC takes place) == Prime Earth/Earth-0, which is the universe where all multiverses are born(in line with the Doomsday Clock idea)

And in Stargirl - The Lost Children also mentions(with the editor makes a direct reference) Doomsday Clock event, and you've it refers Earth-0 as the Metaverse

Edit:
In the The DC Comics Encyclopedia New Edition (2021) mentions Superman/hope is the constant throughout the Multiverse

Though to be fair, this is a book that only covers events before Death Metal.
Some elements from Doomsday Clock also are referred in later comics, but not tied to the cosmology
Like in Lazarus Planet: Legends Reborn also mentions the story which changed Firestorm's origin(Ronnie states that he doesn't trust Martin Stein anymore after discovering that he was the mastermind behind the creation of Firestorm in Doomsday Clock story)

You don't get it, do you?Clark fans love him exposed & vulnerable. Phil and Saint loved that Red & Blue comic, too, for the same reason.
That's also why they never protest against Bruce dominating and humiliating Kent in every single team-up they've ever had, canon or non-canon.
That's because Batman is awesome though.

Hmm, So you accept the rodeo or not?
Not like Superman isn't the most publicized superhero in comics and you don't have a wealth of feats to choose from that don't involve obviously retconned history.

What's the contention here? I thought comics always operated on this weird sliding timescale, so kids can pick a comic up and relate to the characters i.e. Spidey and MJ in their original showings dress and talk like they're teenagers in the 60s, Batman is off to watch Zorro from the 30s/40s, Banner and Rick Jones are young guys in the 60s etc?
Yeah, basically I challenge ODG that his time period argument doesn't hold much value, considering the comic book time factor

Also if you want to make this "X character starts at that time period doesn't make sense, so it isn't the same character" argument
