What's the contention here? I thought comics always operated on this weird sliding timescale, so kids can pick a comic up and relate to the characters i.e. Spidey and MJ in their original showings dress and talk like they're teenagers in the 60s, Batman is off to watch Zorro from the 30s/40s, Banner and Rick Jones are young guys in the 60s etc?
