If the amount of money an IP made is a direct reflection of how good and love it is, One Piece has broken more record than most manga to date in sales.

So the Tower of God recently got dubbed, the first episode was pretty good, about to see the second one.

Honestly, I think it lost some sense of direction in the mid/late game, where it introduced chibi cute witch's, established Griffith as some hero of the realm, and basically been in neutral for the past decade.

Morikawa of Hajimi No Ippo fame and Kentaro Miura could be pen names for the same guy, as similar as their plot progression strategies are.

BTW, PS3 and Xbox 360 copies of Dragons Dogma Dark Arisen are the only versions that have Guts and Griffith armors.

Everyone laughs at me for playing on a 360, but who gets to play the Black Swordsman? 🙂

Tenchi Muyo was a great one. I remember staying up late at night watching Tenchi in Tokyo on the sci-fi channel.

Tenchi was also the first anime I first heard the word harem being used by a classmate to describe all the females roles.

I got into berserk only last year so I was lucky enough to miss the real long wait periods of the boat arc. But when I step back and realize the status quo has been more or less the same for a real time DECADE it is pretty hard to have great hopes for the future of the story.

But that’s not necessarily a bad thing. Look at Naruto and Bleach, 2 of the dub Shonen Trinity, the second the story started getting rushed, the quality fell just as much.

Slow one piece may be, at least the story is consistently good. And the sales speaks for themselves.
