Either way, it's already shown that he doesn't need to touch his opponents, as long as he's juiced up before. From what it looks like, it seems Parasite needs to touch someone when he's weak or in need of energy. When he gets his fix, then he can absorb what he wants, even long distances, if he wants. Which begs the question: Where does Parasite start out at? Weak or with a decent amount of energy?

I know he doesn't always need touch. I just meant the proximity thing has been emphasized up to that point before. It still seems like he needs to close the distance before he drains typically though.

Parasite was absorbing a portion of Mon-El's power many miles above him. He can do it long distances, too.

When? How powered up beforehand was he?

@Philo I can never quote you for some reason. Yes, it's from there. I don't take it seriously and should have put a smiley after the dogpile scene. It was more to just emphasize the proximity thing.

I'm trying to find the scans now. This was during Paul Cornel's run on Superman, when Mon-El took over, IIRC. Mon-El was flying above, wasn't aware of Parasite, and he absorbed his powers while he was flying by.

20Feet radius

That was before the feat I was referring to, so he obviously got upgrades. He had trouble absorbing many types of energy, but adapted to that.

And Joshua doesn't get Rudy's feats. So all those earlier scans from Betaboks and you, with older scans, aren't admissible.

Just to clarify and yes there is a concession coming.

Not a single feat I have referenced was Rudy's. Not one .I had actually thought the feats I referenced were from a parasite pre fp called Joshua. I've since pulled the issue and found out his name was Raymond, I was in error.

It was literally the reason I had only referenced feats from that story it was the first appearance of parasites post-crisis in a publication but a year before he was relaunched as Rudy Jones in firestorm in 1987 and the year after COIE.

Because I thought it was the same character name thinking that n52 had simply started with the same character at the start of its continuity that post crisis did is why I was using it as how Superman's new combined continuity would merge the character.

Apparently instead it was simply the last appearance of pre-crisis parasite in a post-crisis story before some writer decided to recreate the character completely

ever said he couldn't drain mulitple beings, lol. NOW who's making stuff up??

I said, and I reiterate: show me n52 Parasite (Josh) draining multiple enemies, WHILST surrounded by his team mates.[quote]

I'm genuenly curious why you think an entity that needs to feed just to survive that literally needs to constantly drain energy to maintain it's life essence would give a stuff about teammates? That's something that hasn't changed in the New 52 I always assumed it was a given he was going to drain his teammates until he got closer to another source. Since usually it's when he has energy you can try the distance it's literally from draining his teammates that he'll be able to drain the opposing team.

[Quote]Until it transpires that he's been sitting there this entire time, doing nothing, thanks to the misdirect which only made him think he did so.

So again with the assumption (incorrectly) that he needs to aim his powers. That misdirection would have any effect on them. llook to my scan of him draining Hal, he was under a cover and could not see. Why would he need to be directed with his powers to drain anything. Proof that misdirection effects parasite's ability to sense energy (which isnt a nornal sense). I would point you to the instance when fighting the jla that he sensed the energy of Rao, not present on the Battlefield who was attacking Olympus. Presumably senced via Wonder Woman's link to the Olympians

I agree that SS wins this but IMHO, if this was in the BZ, DS wins it..

Well if he doesn't direct his powers he's going to drain his teamates....

For beatboks. Here he is, surrounded by team mates, and needing to top his energy levels up. Does he drain his team? No. He asks Harley to bazooka him.

He's actually quite the team player. But if you have scans of him being a selfish Susan, by all means, I'm still waiting for the scans.

As for the aiming, it's been shown that as long as it has a sentient mind, Fantomex can misdirect it (see Apocalypse's sentient ship).
