Honestly if she got more time on centre stage, she'd likely be a MH character. I'm not making that case for her, because it wouldn't match up with her general portrayal, but HM is definitely too low.

The consensus seemed to be HM for Magik at the time. If you guys want to revisit her placement, I'm all for it.
For LH: Magik’s teleportation alone is beyond the meta tier. Her soul sword is a OHKO for any magic character in the tiers. Her time travel and hell lord powers are always in the background in case she needs to dial it up to 11.
If Magik were a solo title character, we’d be debating between herald tiers. Obviously that’s not the credit she’s usually given, but she’s beyond meta nonetheless.
How does the tiering system work? Is is just raw power? does versatility matter? The type of opponents they beat?
I see Colossus, Namor, ShadowCat, She hulk in the same league as Mordo, Jean Grey, Spiral, etc..Didn't Mordo blow up a planet, regularly fight Strange,etc..Magic users will have way more versatility then Bricks.
Danger can reform from any physical damage, has cl 100 strength, can turn invisible, analyse weaknesses, turn a battlefield into her personal Danger room with her holograms. She has a ton of other powers as well.But she would be lower than someone like Herc or Black bolt?
Magik can travel anywhere in the omniverse, her powerset is as versatile as they come. Hellfire, transmutation, cloaking, illusions, magical blasts, demon summoning, soul, energy and time manip, etc..She has mystical senses which allow her to see through illusions, and sense people in other dimensions and galaxies, etc..Her demons give her an army of deadmen with all sorts of powers including power copying and shapeshifting.
In Limbo, she can out power most of the people in herald tiers. I could see a serious Magik talking on Hela and Circe type people who are above Herald Tiers. Hela herself has said Magik powers are impressive. Silver Surfer couldn't undo Limbo magic.
Magik's personal rouges gallery consists of demons like Sy'm, Belasco or dimension eating monsters like the World Eater and villains like Mephisto and Dormammu.

Wolverine can mess up anyone who doesn't have true invulnerability/high regen and takes blunt force trauma better than Hercules 😗

Yeah just wanted to learn the scoring system when it comes to tiering people. Like what is more important? haxx, power, track record, rouges gallery?
Most Magic users alone would be capable of having the power sets of multiple heroes. Invisibility, phasing, teleporting, blasting et..
I could understand ranking a brick higher than a magic user if said brick has defeated a much higher level of opponents.

I would have to defer on Magik entirely, as I know next to nothing about her... So I'm fine with whatever placement you guys come up with.

yeah, i was trying to think of others to add, but i think we have most of the main guys. there are plenty of more obscure guys out there but i think we have a nice baseline to compare most characters to. are there any others that anyone can think of? should we consider looking at a level beyond trans?
