DC's continuity is separate from the continuity of Neil Gaiman's Sandman. But even so, the New 52 is just 52 universes, which might as well be just a universe when you compare it to the infinite universes under the Living Tribunal's jurisdiction. Multiverse in this sense means the main universe and the associated mythical realms, like Hell, the Silver City, the Dreaming, the Fair Lands, etc. you may call it whatever you want, but in effect it's just one timeline.This is different from the New 52's 52 different timelines, or Marvel's infinite timelines.

Your statements are well…wrong on so many levels. New 52 are not 52 universes. The pre-crisis infinite multiverse was brought back after convergence for example. 52 known universes shown on the map, but there are infinite universes with ? mark on it. We only saw part of everything on the map. 52 universes are very very small section of dc entirety; if you follow closely you will understand. Reboot only happen within the speedforce wall, so higher dimensions plane are not affected. That’s why New Gods and higher entities are remember every crisis and what happened before

Hell just recently it’s confirmed that the multiverse map is just ONE multiverse out of all infinite multiverses in dc, and that one multiverse on the map is infinitely larger than marvel omniverse (I’ll explain it in later post)
