Disgusting:

NYT Report: Cuomo Aides ‘Quietly Inserted’ Nursing Home Immunity Provision Into NY Budget

"The New York Times reported that the provision went unnoticed by lawmakers who voted on the budget a few days later. The Times spends most of its article trying to blame the nursing home lobby for the provision, but waits until the 23rd paragraph to mention – in a single sentence – that “the state required nursing homes to take Covid-19 patients.”

lol wow

Trump 'totally' disagrees with Fauci on school reopenings

As state economies begin slowly reopening in phases, President Trump wants to see schools reopen -- despite some of the coronavirus concerns being voiced by top advisers.

In an exclusive interview with FOX Business' Maria Bartiromo, President Trump responded to top infectious disease expert Dr. Anthony Fauci’s fears that spikes during the reopening process could turn into outbreaks if activities, like schooling, resume too quickly. -snip

Wonder how this will sit with Trumpers, pretty sure they're like most parents and very protective of their own children.

Based on the science and other experts (who based their conclusions and recommendations on science), Trump is correct.

So not sure what's up with Fauci.

It's a cult, offering up your children for human sacrifice as you sip the Kool Aid is par for the course.

We're entering our summer, so schools are going on break anyways from mid June to late August (it does vary though). But come August/Septemebr and we get outbreaks of covid-19 in schools, it's not going to look good on Trump. Sick children is horrible optics and people will point out that Fauci warned him.

I'm actually surprised Trump isn't being more cautious here.

Yeah, he's probably safe now as schools will be shut by the time kids go back, it's a gaslighting soundbite.

This is a horrible thing to say about women who get abortions. Reported.

Didn't Tim take project Veritas at their word?

That implies he might have stopped. Pool is still using PV as a source. eg In January (or around) someone here posted a Pool vid that allegedly showed PV proving Bernie Sanders is unfit to be president.

I don't know what low means. But I have figures ranging from 25%-60%

https://www.cdc.gov/flu/fluvaxview/coverage-1718estimates.htm

To stop the flu, we would need a ~92% vaccination rate.

So never possible and it's retarded to push this as the only solution?

The doctors office called earlier today and scheduled an appointment for me on June 11th. The reason I mention this is because lately I've done appointments over the phone, but now they seem to think lockdown orders will not be extended beyond the end of May here because they said I can come in person.

According to the daily updates from the governor and the mayor, phase three re-opening in Illinois is scheduled for mid-June.

Wow....so....don't wear a mask because it increases your risk? But then wear a mask because it is important?

Hmm, well that would put the reopening after the 11th so either I'll have to reschedule or this will be another phone appointment.

It is possible, but health organizations have prioritized the most vulnerable populations for vaccinations, leading healthy people to think they do not need them. With public education, and increased access to the vaccinations, we could reach those numbers.

These are the same people who suggested the elderly should be willing to sacrifice their lives for the sake of economy, and that the pandemic is a hoax manufactured by Democrats to hurt Trump's re-election chances and curb their freedoms.

Of course....

but then it mutates. And we are vaccinated against a now mostly extinct SARS virus.

Similar to every flu season.

Unlike MMR, we are fighting against an ever changing virus. We can't very well shut down the entire world every time we run into a virus that has a mortality rate of .13%.

The original date was June 1st, but then it was moved back to June 15th. The 11th is the Thursday before the Monday re-opening date, so it may be close enough. I know some business are planning to open on the 1st as planned, so long as they follow necessary safety measures.
