One has to wonder why people were so sad they practically bent over backwards in order to find proof of a racial motive for the shooting, and even when they couldn't prove racism they still just went "meh I think they're racist tho".

Nothing. As my feelings clearly won't be hurt if they find stolen goods at any of Arbery's haunts related to his felonies and thefts.

But for some people, such as you, it seems like your feelings would get hurt if they find something that helps the McMichael's defense.

Because it is directly related to the lawful pursuit element of the case which either downgrades this to involuntary manslaughter, at worst, or definitely becomes voluntary manslaughter if no lawful pursuit can be established.

Bingo and I'm gonna say it right now: if tomorrow they unearth that senior McMichael was the grand wizard of the local clan chapter? Okay. I'm willing to accept it, it wouldn't hurt me. But then again I'm not looking at this situation as a potential way to push the "this country is racist yoooo!" narrative.

Your problem is that anything short of being a hood-wearing Klansman with an official KKK membership certificate does not qualify as racism.

I read that one of the 911 calls had "thin, young, black male" and identifying him by his race might indicate racism when they were identifying the home intruder.

That's the best I can find, so far.

and if it was "thin white man" and the cops raided the home of a thin white guy with no criminal record or probable cause, you'd be totally cool with it. fix your mask, it's slipping off.

also, trespassing does not equal home intrusion as it was a construction site.
