I'll be truthful, training for health is a lot more boring than training for sport. That for me is the hardest thing. But, I am enjoying running. I never thought I'd be able to again like this. COVID19 has given me a new old hobby.
I've only ever lifted/trained for health, personal goals and aesthetics. Never had the sport goal in mind. But I can imagine the drive that would cause.
When my gym opens again, I will once again be doing that for the same reasons.

When gym Lockdown here is over we should give it a month and post a short video of our best max set at Bench Press. Mine will be incline either Dumbells of barbell incline. I avoid flat now pulls my rotator a little. 🙂 who is game? Short vid.
I stopped max lifting forever ago, I switched to TUD and doing a bench set with 1 minute rests in a set of 225x20 (60 seconds) 245x15 (60 seconds) 275x12 (60 seconds) then jump to weighted dips/pullups.
I'm a family man now so now I don't have gym time I just dumbell lift, kettlebell swing, sled pulls in a bit of a tabata format....old man lifting format now 😛
I do miss having unlimited workout time as a single guy though, I kept a bunch of my old training logs and no way do I have time for that anymore.

Also, I will try and help out with the grand kids school bills etc as they happen. Of course as a new dad there is that but everyone is bored on that i think.
