The Official Joe Biden for President Thread

It’s one of his biggest weaknesses and is why this election may end up going the way of the last one. Not many are excited for Biden. There is a lack of enthusiasm for him and with the fact that Covid will be going on in November still, it could really cost him in turnout.

And sooner or later they are going to debate and I get the feeling Joe Biden is going to do very badly.

I don’t think the debates are going to matter much. Neither of them will do well.

You almost had it Backfire. People are dying from COVID and Biden wants to provide better healthcare for people whereas Trump wants to cut healthcare costs and is suspiciously being quiet about it.

That's true.

My point about covid wasn’t that Biden wouldn’t do a better job of it. It was that people who aren’t enthusiastic are even more less likely to vote while it will be going on because of the health risk of leaving the house and standing in line and what not.

its a reason to be enthusiastic. Obama's VP wants to stop people dying is a pretty good thing to be enthusiastic about.

That’s not really how it works for enthusiasm. There are polls that shows Trump had the advantage with enthusiasm among his supporters. They are very excited to vote for him. Biden has less. Though a lot of his supporters are very excited to vote against Trump so that could be enough. We shall see.

I think you underestimate Biden's charisma, although I would admit Trump has more and so does Obama. Biden's pretty witty and I can overlook the creepiness considering he has a lot of experience in politics.

Probably not.

I said before that it was a serious problem that people don't vote for things or people anymore. They just vote against.

That seems to be an extension of how campaigns go these days because a candidate putting across what they want to do for the country and what policies they want to enact gets less traction than them ripping into their opponent.

It wouldn't be fair, Harambe is dead. So he'd have an unfair advantage with all the dead democrat voters who would no doubt vote for one of their own.
