Godzilla vs Kong

Thought the same thing.

The way they suddenly team up is kind of hilarious actually.

"Kong, he isn't your enemy!"

Can only imagine Kong rolling his eyes thinking "Yeah sure, gimmie a minute while I snap my shoulder back into place and recover from having my heart restarted by Mr. "not your enemy" over there."

Plus Godzilla never got the memo, yet didn't think to just attack both of them.

That’s why KOTM was the better of all 4 movies too me.

Also, was there ever any explanation given about the other Titans being absent?

None.

I like to think they were off camera eating the Kaiju equivilent of popcorn. Maybe baby rock crawlers or something.

After the fight, as they're poking fun at Kong for losing he's muttering under his breath "I was signing "Get this crazy person away from me", you *****. Not "I want to go home.

Hard to tell he isn't my enemy through the feelings of drowning."

I will say the Robogodzilla looked good.

Nailed the freaky uncanny valley look.

Like I said , the very first opening credits tells you the other major titans were defeated and either killed or driven into hibernation. There is also two tie in comics that will explain kong and one for godzilla

Shadowfyre has provided info to you twice on that matter.

To be fair, I havent even technically seen the movie yet but I've followed it vehemently and it doesn't sound like they did a great job of explaining it. And the opening credits are probably ly the most missed part 9f any movie.

The comics should explain better hopefully but I also believe there was an attempt to lure the Titans into the Hollow Earth and then seal it off but we will see.

The only comic related thing that i've read from these movies was the first one 'Godzilla: Awakening'

it's a prequel to the 2014 movie, It even had it's own Kaiju in it

And that is what you call bad story telling.

The titans are integral and life altering beings, and just casually mentioning killing them, worse yet I have to but comics to understand your story means you fail as a story teller.

Reminds me of Mortal Kombat X and their comics tie ins all over again.

Just watched it. Wasnt crazy about the storyline.

Spoiler:
I could have done without the Stranger Things girl, her nerdy friend, and Bernie's hijinks. I thought the hollow earth premise was kind of stupid too. I did like the action scenes and the fact that Godzilla thumped Kong in the second fight. Mecha Godzilla was hella powerful too.

All in all, its worth a watch, but I wasnt blown away.

I hated the technology jump though. There is no way they should have been able to jump so high tech wise in just ten years.

i am pissed.. they did godzilla wrong.. he was bastardized all to make kong king.. im glad this is doing well but still its total shit..

Is this the last movie in the monster verse?

Well at least it wasn't a total disaster like KotM... And the fights were pretty good.

But, yeah, by no means a good movie. The hollow earth shit was some of the dumbest stuff ever and Millie Bobby Brown's hijinks was somehow even worse.

How did they do Godzilla wrong?

For now, yes. They said the Monsterverse was basically built to lead up to Godzilla V. Kong, but we know how things can go on if they're super successful so there's a possibility we'll see more.

Did they?

Spoiler:
He got the better of Kong twice, and Kong only stood a chance when he had a literal plot device that could hurt Godzilla and turn his weapon back on him. Godzilla was the clear victor between the two of them. Even against Mechagodzilla they had to work together with Godzilla charging the axe so Kong could deal the fatal blow just like Mothra powered him up so he could take out Ghidorah.

Also did anybody notice that

Spoiler:
Mechagodzilla looks directly at the camera, his eyes open a little bit and he makes this smarmy face and he actually roars out the tune of "DUN DUN...DUNNNNN"

Kong was heavily sedated when they fought.

Mothra is also still around too, For those that remember the newspaper from KOTM. That's a possibility for something.

Making excused already. He was fine in the second fight and he got absolutely ass blasted despite having an axe.
