Well honestly, Belmod in some sense seemed like the weakest God of Destruction. He literally had to play dead to have any shot of winning. He”s also only been a God of Destruction for 250,000 years, whereas Beerus has been one for dozens of millions, if not hundreds of millions. Beerus’ line in manga chapter 27 about Vegeta being a solid GoD candidate in another universe, but not U7, also makes more sense now.
Especially since this special GoD technique seems to be the equal/opposite of MUI... So it stand to reason that some GoDs have mastered said technique better than others(like the Angels have done with MUI)... Which helps reconcile Beerus being able to assrape some of the other universes' GoDs, and even comparing Zamasu arc Vegeta to them.
The dragon is limited by the power of its creator. That's why Kami's Shenron couldn't directly destroy the Saiyans (And they were too stupid to destroy their pods and have them asphyxiate in space)
Granolah's namek couldn't be all that strong if he couldn't beat back the Saiyan invaders, so how can his dragon make anyone into the strongest warrior in the universe?

I don’t think Goku is on par with Merus yet. Goku when he initially fails to overcome Planet Moro says he doesn”t have as much god power as Merus did, and Goku says he”s at “the bottom of the totem pole” in terms of his relation to GP/Whis/Merus.

I hope they never surpass Beerus and they keep getting all these nonsensical powerups that Beerus should never come close to surpassing until they rubberband him into tapping Vegeta out again.
I'm not sure I think Gogeta is above Beerus anymore either. I mean he should be but also probably not. It's probably a question that never gets an answer until Beerus does something in another 3 years. Then it's just "Maybe???"
