Captain America vs. Silver Surfer (with a twist)

Started by Wonder Man20 pages

Marvel said illusion is most powerful. If Silver Surfer can wait for an optical illusion he could get a death blow in but Captain America’s eyes move faster than normal humans so even illusion he might be able to beat.

If Stilt wants me to edit it, I can, but I honestly don't see the need. It's up to him.

I'm... just going to assume all of the Colossus stuff is trolling.

Lol.

So in the discussion thread, I made that off the cuff remark on how Juggy tanking adamantium was a Colossus worthy feat.

In this thread, because I made the joke about Albert using fanart, he tried to "debunk" that lol....but the point I made was based on that scan.

He tries so hard, he really does.

I know it's been a while since we talked about it, but I really don't think using Hellverine works as establishing any kind of baseline.

Colossus isn't even in the TOP10 toughest guys Wolverine has pierced.

What matters is that Juggs appeared impervious to them with no evidence to the contrary, while Colossus almost got killed.

And DS is just fighting fire with fire here... as Alberto also loves to cherry-pick panels without context (or fan art, lol).

Ah, okay.

I wasn't disputing any of that, though.

If Wolverine can touch a pressure point with his claws he could kill when the Hulk.
All Wolverine has to do is keep someone active and land pressure points and he’d beat even the Unstoppable Juggernaut.

Watch and be amazed. He’s the best there is at what he does.

Go to that site first.

Then copy the link, since it's not working now.

He's performing physical acts against, targetting, reacting to, and perceiving multiple assailants at all angles, designed to kill intruders who can go ftl. And he was not exclusively on his board every step of the way.

So if you put Usain Bolt in room full of kids, the kids all have been told to tag Bolt. And when to do, are the kids as fast as or faster than Bolt?

Limited space, multiple antibodies coming from every direction, More like a trap than speed.

Not really the same. So many things to consider like ego's size. For example he's a planet. Comparing him to a room seems off to me. Thats just one rabbit hole.

Lets say he was on the board the whole time and did well against the attackers. We can easily say his ftl(on board) was enough to perform against ego's immune system. In the book, he wasnt exclusively on his board zipping around. He was performing all kinds of moves without the use of travel/board. And he still performed well against attackers thats supposed to handle ftl intruders.

And what was presented in the book was specific in the trait(ftl), but not specific on whether it was travel, combat, etc. Thats all we were given. Im not choosing one or the other because the information given stopped at "kill hyperlight viruses". We also see that the defenders were limited in their form of attack(physical). I think it would be a kind of bias to choose what should be applied based on what was presented.

You're still on that FTL bullshit?

So not that applicable for combat reflexes lol. You are right, we can't choose which it applies to - combat or travel.

Glad we agree.

No im treating it as blanket. The ftl part was specific.

Yup. Don't think anyone argued against the FTL part, but you're right, it never said it was combat or flight or both.
