The FBI warned for years that police are cozy with the far right. Is no one listening?

Whirl, the FBI FINANCED right wing groups historically, to bust left wing activists. The fact is the FBI has a VERY bloody history against the left.
It's called Cointelpro. You like Wikipedia, so here's the page:

I wouldn't really trust them to have suddenly seen the light and become our friends (Not any more then I think the CIA is trustworthy)
A Florida man who was seen inside the U.S. Capitol during the Jan. 6 insurrection sporting a Trump flag and T-shirt pleaded guilty on Wednesday to one count, marking the second guilty plea so far in the Capitol riot investigation.
Paul Allard Hodgkins, 38, pleaded guilty to one count of obstruction of an official proceeding, a felony that carries up to 20 years in prison and a maximum fine of $250,000.
As a result of a plea deal, he will face a substantially lower sentence and fine, which Judge Randolph Ross estimated could range between 15 and 21 months in prison, though that could be subject to change.
Hodgkins will also pay $2,000 in restitution, the judge said. -snip
Still pays to be White in America. Even if he gets the now lowered full 21months in prison, that's a slap on the wrist. At least he'll no longer be able to own guns or vote.
Feds to Make Rioters Pay for Damage to U.S. Capitol
U.S. prosecutors this week put a price tag for the first time on damage to the U.S. Capitol from the January 6th breach—$1.5 million so far—and are asking defendants to cover some of that in plea offers, prosecutors and defense lawyers said.
The U.S. attorney's office in Washington cited the damage estimate Wednesday in court and in plea papers filed in the case of Paul Hodgkins, 38. The Tampa crane operator pleaded guilty to one felony count of obstructing an official proceeding of Congress and faces sentencing July 19th in Washington.
The document said Hodgkins agreed to pay $2,000 restitution to the Department of Treasury as part of the plea. Several defense attorneys said prosecutors with the U.S. attorney's office in Washington are seeking to require restitution of $2,000 in each felony case and $500 in each misdemeanor case.
So much winning!

Republicans were successful in putting a stop to the bipartisan investigation into the Jan 6th insurrection on US soil. Yet we had 10 investigations into the 2012 Benghazi attack and many more inquiries over two years. Apparently less time and energy was spent into the 9/11, Watergate, JFK assassination and Pearl Harbor probes.
US Capitol Police Sgt. Aquilino Gonell was beaten with a flagpole. His hand was sliced open. He was hit with so much chemical spray that the liquid soaked through to his skin. During intense hand-to-hand combat with rioters on the west front of the US Capitol on January 6, there were moments where Gonell thought he might die.
"They called us traitors. They beat us. They dragged us," Gonell told CNN, in his first interview about the violence he experienced and witnessed on January 6. "And I could hear them, 'We're going to shoot you. We're going to kill you. You're choosing your paycheck over the country. You're a disgrace. You're a traitor.'" -snip
Another cop came forward. Hopefully this trends and more and more of them come forward. Not that Republicans care.
"Congressional Gold Medal vote for January 6 police officers overwhelmingly passes House as 21 Republicans vote no"
https://www.cnn.com/2021/06/15/politics/congressional-gold-medal-house-vote/index.html
this from the creators of "blue lives matter"
man, what is wrong with these phaggot republicans?
If they acknowledge that medals need to be handed out, they need to acknowledge that something happened on Jan 6th, aside from it being a "normal tourist day" or "no real acts of violence" day.
Honestly, I'm surprised it was only 21 Republicans, as the majority of them are pushing the 'Big Lie' or pretending like it isn't happening.
While Tucker Carlson makes bogus claims about the riot, his own network won a defamation lawsuit by actually arguing in court "No reasonable person would take Tucker Carlson seriously." 😆
Omg, January 6th! January 6th! January 6th!
Without a shadow of a doubt the absolute most tragic, horrific day in history! Pearl Harbor?! Pfft... 9/11? LOL, nothing in comparison to the horrible, dark day of January 6th 2021! The eruption of Mount Saint Helens which killed no telling how many people? Oh please, that's not even a blip on the radar compared to January 6th!!!
Anyone who doesn't agree that 1/6/21 was the absolute worst day in history is sick!!! 😆 😆

LOL. Seeing things from a left-wing perspective is not "seeing the light"... it is called becoming retarded lol.

The argument was that pundits are not newsmen.
It isn't calling anything he says wrong per say, only saying his job is to give opinion, with less emphesis on fact.
I read a snippet and apparently the new angle from the Right (those who accept the Jan 6th attacked happened to begin with, some don't) via Trucker Carlson is that it wasn't Antifa disguised as Trumpers or BLM disguised as Trumpers or Antifa disguised as BLM disguised as Trumpers, who stormed the capital, it was the FBI and they had planned this insurgency all along.
Is Tucker not aware that the director of the FBI is both a Republican and he was put in place by Trump. I'm going to look for the Fox news clip later.
Pelosi Announces Select Committee
Gen. Mark Milley, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, delivered some striking comments during a congressional hearing yesterday, including an exchange in which he raised an important question: "What is it that caused thousands of people to assault this building and try to overturn the Constitution of the United States of America?"
The original plan was to answer that and related questions about the January 6th attack through an independent panel along the lines of the 9/11 Commission. Democrats and Republicans engaged in lengthy negotiations and came an agreement after Democrats made a series of concessions demanded by the GOP. Republicans ended up rejecting the bipartisan proposal anyway.
It was around this time that some GOP lawmakers started rewriting the history of the insurrectionist attack—recasting the rioters as harmless tourists and victims—which yesterday drew the ire of U.S. District Judge Royce C. Lamberth. The Reagan-appointed jurist said, "I'm especially troubled by the accounts of some members of Congress that January 6th was just a day of tourists walking through the Capitol. I don't know what planet they were on."
Perhaps a newly announced congressional select committee will be able to help educate the confused.
Speaker Nancy Pelosi announced Thursday that the House will establish a select committee to investigate the January 6th Capitol riot. "This morning, with great solemnity and sadness, I am announcing the House will be establishing a select committee on the January 6th insurrection," Pelosi said at a news conference.
"January 6th was one of the darkest days in our nation's history," the Speaker added. "It is imperative that we establish the truth of that day and ensure an attack of that kind cannot happen, and that we root out the causes of it all. The select committee will investigate and report on the facts and the causes of the attack" and report recommendations.
The creation of a special select committee has some practical advantages, starting with the obvious fact that Pelosi doesn't need Republicans' permission to create such a panel.
What's more, the committee will have subpoena power, a dedicated staff, and no firm deadline. Democratic leaders would also almost certainly ensure that such a panel have a Democratic chair.
As recently as last week, House Armed Services Chairman Adam Smith told CNN that Democrats were still hoping to get enough Republican votes in the Senate for a bipartisan plan for a January 6th panel. Evidently, Democratic leaders are no longer willing to wait.
"I'm especially troubled by the accounts of some members of Congress that January 6th was just a day of tourists walking through the Capitol. I don't know what planet they were on." -U.S. District Judge Royce C. Lamberth
That would be the planet of "Party-Before-Country", which is orbited by a single moon named "Up-Trump's-Bloated-Ass". Hopefully the asteroid named "Still-In-Denial" strikes and obliterates all, letting a reset happen.
DOJ Marks 500th Riot Arrest, 100th for Assaulting Cop
From the press release of Attorney General Merrick Garland:
The Department of Justice reached several benchmarks in our investigation into the January 6th attack on the U.S. Capitol.
We have now crossed the threshold of 500 arrests, including the 100th arrest of a defendant on charges of assaulting a federal law enforcement officer. This morning, we arrested our first defendant on charges that include assaulting a member of the news media.
I could not be more proud of the extraordinary effort by investigators and prosecutors to hold accountable those who engaged in criminal acts that day.
Particular credit goes to those serving as prosecutors and agents in Washington, D.C., as well as those in FBI field offices and U.S. Attorney's Offices across the country, and with the Department's National Security Division.
Our efforts to bring criminal charges are not possible without the continued assistance of the American public. To date, we have received their more than 200,000 digital tips.
I assure the American people that the Department of Justice will continue to follow the facts in this case and charge what the evidence supports to hold all January 6th perpetrators accountable.
