New Details Suggest Senior Trump Aides Knew Jan. 6 Rally Could Get Chaotic
Text messages and interviews show that Stop the Steal leaders fooled the Capitol police and welcomed racists to increase their crowd sizes, while White House officials worked to both contain and appease them.

ProPublica has obtained new details about the Trump White House’s knowledge of the gathering storm, after interviewing more than 50 people involved in the events of Jan. 6 and reviewing months of private correspondence. Taken together, these accounts suggest that senior Trump aides had been warned the Jan. 6 events could turn chaotic, with tens of thousands of people potentially overwhelming ill-prepared law enforcement officials.

Then they report the info...

Oh Lordy!

Happy 4th of July fellow Americans. An insurrection meant to take overturn a legal election was put down just a few months ago.

15 Cops Charged So Far in Capitol Riot

Among the more than 500 people charged with federal crimes by the Department of Justice for their participation in the Capitol breach, 15 have been identified as law enforcement officers—some actively employed by law enforcement entities and some retired—based on local and national news reports and corresponding charging documents. They hail from a total of 12 states, and departments as small as the police force of Rocky Mount, Virginia and as large as New York City. Their crimes range from conspiracy to trespassing, with a number of felonies and misdemeanors in between.

Aside from the prison time for their crimes, they should lose their pensions, all other benefits and be barred from ever serving in any state or federal government agency again. Deplorables.

That sounds like a very forgivable stance....hmmm

Oh no, these Maga supporters broke a few windows and took a crap on her royal highness Pelosi's desk! How dare they!?! They should all lose their pensions and be locked-up forever in solitary confinement! Hell, deny them food and water as well. They're terrorists, after all!

But of course these BLM and Antifa thugs who've been tearing shit up and burning shit down for months on end and have actually killed people are not in any way terrorists. Nah, they're actually all little Captain America's fighting da good fight her derp! 🙄

Oh man, your whataboutism is noted now......still it's easy to conflate the two groups with their actions and words spoken. Best if we focus on the ones associated the Trump........cuz he's still president amr? 😆

And of course not only should the Maga supporters who actually took part in the Capitol building breach be severely punished but so should every other Trumper who was in Washington on that most horrific of days (lmao) be punished!

I mean, Alex Jones was there on that day. Surely he must've played a part in inciting them as well. He also should he locked-up forever! Screw his and every other Trumper's rights!

Why should these criminals who know the law better than most be forgiven for committing crimes? Because they're Trumpers?

Yeah, that's all that happened, just "a few broken windows". Keep downplaying the attack on our capitol because your loyalty to orange man is greater than your own country 👆

There is alot of assumption in your statement, who said forgive them?

Your typical hypocrisy/double standards is noted.

It was directly implied in your snarky reply to me:

Neither BLM nor Antifa attacked the capital on Jan 6th, that spinning of the narrative failed long ago, so there is no hypocrisy on my end.

Your position seems extreme given our system of courts and due process.

Not really, cops have lost their pensions, benefits and/or been barred from ever serving again for committing crimes after being found guilty. Depends on the crime(s) and state laws.

eg Chauvin will keep his pension due to his state's laws. Other cops can not be as lucky.
