"Writer's intent"

IOW, h1's biased opinion

So you are saying no one here is speculating and going against what is shown (AM paddling at times)?
Tiki cant even answer a simple question. Why did AM paddle at times when he could have used propulsion every time. Whats the purpose of even paddling at all?

Maybe that is how the writer intended for them to produce momentum?

I'm saying that you have a very obvious habit of
1. claiming that the writer's intent trumps all
2. claiming that your opinion is writer's intent.

In case I'm not being clear enough. at this point everyone knows that when you say "writer's intent" what you really mean is "H1's opinion".

Writer's intent is always clear. If you have to debate it then you are trolling.

And yes writer's intent trumps speculation.

Thank you for admitting that by "writer's intent" you really mean H1's opinion.

He still paddled in the submarine feat and in other showings. You haven't answered why though.

And he doesnt when he's at speed in the water, why?

He paddles at slower speeds because hes not using propulsion. Its the same as why Superman walks sometimes when he can fly. Its very, very simple.

Now answer the question and quit dodging,,,,,who is the faster swimmer, Hulk or Aquaman?

Why do he choose the paddle at slower speeds and not just use the speculative propulsion?
Remember we are not making up shit. We must go by writer's intent.

The writer put nothing in the movie to suggest a propulsion system. The only way we thought about it was because of the"Because Science" guy. If that guy didnt do a piece on it then none of us (even the writer) would have thought about it. AM from the comics, cartoons, etc use paddling to generate momentum. Movies are generally based off comics unless clearly TOLD otherwise.

Your just not going to answer the Hulk and Aquaman question are you? Coward.

Why would he use propulsion all the time? Do you run as fast as you can all the time? Does Superman fly all the time? Hell, even the Flash takes it easy a lot of the time. Your just being stupid now.

The writer had Atlanteans gliding without paddling all through the entire movie. The 'science guy' was just brought up a day ago because I ran across it. This thread has been going on for how long? Your back peddling and ducking is the worst i've ever seen from you and thats saying something. You need to man up and admit that you were wrong and just move on. That way we other posters can keep the respect that we never had for you.

Irony how h1 is suddenly against science guys.

😆 Its funny how he says it was the science guy that got people talking about propulsion. He's a joke.

They were gliding AFTER paddling according to the suspension of disbelief. Its like coasting on a bike after peddling.

You keep arguing propulsion is for fast speed and paddling is for slow speed (you contradicted this argument by stating they were shown gliding the whole movie).
But if they use propulsion then they can do so at any speed, no matter how slow. So the question is why paddle and not just use propulsion all the time. Why did the writer put scenes of paddling?

Provide a quote from the writer or movie that explicitly states his intent.

Writer's intent was clear: Atlanteans have super propulsion under water. Otherwise they would never have shown it.

He cant be reasoned with. No matter how many people answer his repetitive questions, he just continues to ask them over and over again.

If you'll notice, he wont dare answer my question about the Hulk and Aquaman as it will debunk his silly argument.

I saw no propulsion. Thats speculation. Why did the writer show them paddling at times? No one can honestly answer that question.

I saw propulsion. That's fact. Why did the writer show them using propulsion at times? You can't seem to honestly answer that question.

And yet we all have.

Its like talking to a 2 year old. You tell them something over and over and all they say is 'Why' and 'because'. Its to the point where its embarrassing. With H1, I guess its better to play dumb than to admit he was wrong.
