[*] Gladiator got 2 cheapshots in.

It does make sense, in-universe.
The Serpent Society always had the access to super-drugs and toxins, capable of bypassing healing factors, small g "gods" and other metahumans. That's their whole thing.
Herc's terrible state was noted again by both his teammates and Masters. He still put up the fight, before he was overwhelmed by their numbers.

They exchanged two attacks each, his hv and an uppercut and her lighting and a hammer hit. He was down and got an assist from his son. She was surprised they were after her and got choked out by Gladiator.

Post didn't make one bit of sense. Wonder Woman would never get up off the ground and choke Superman to sleep with one arm. Juggernaut would never get off the ground and choke Thanos to sleep with one arm. Rogue would never get up off the ground and choke Thor to sleep with one arm. Want to know why? Because these people are powerful enough to get out of an attack like that, especially with one arm. Jane couldn't do a thing and she was helpless and got put to sleep.
Why are you mentioning Sentry?
They chose Jane because of Mjlonir. She had the tools for the Phoenix ForcFORCE. Trying to understand what this have to do with Gladiator getting up off the ground and one hand choking her like she was nothing. You can try to throw out context all you want but none of the people above would get choked out the same way by the people I mentioned above for obvious reasons.
