For now at least i think sirius is dead bcuz i personally think JKR wanted harry to break that mirror so no confusion like this would come of it but harry will definitley communicate w/ sirius wheater it be behind that veil or in a portrait it will have to happen I KNOW IT WILL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If he would have only done what Dumbledore told him to, and if he hadn't of been such a nosy little jerk then he never would have looked in Snape's past, thus still having the Occlumency lesson. (Yes, I know this is long, just bear it with me.) Plus, I don't know what's going on, but I think that J.K left a few hints about Harry and Hermione's little relationship too. Of course, there is always Krum..but ya never know. I just expect Harry to be meaner and meaner and then he will only hurt more people than he saves.

Don't get me wrong. I really like Sirius, but I think that it wouldn't be good if he came back. And even though Rowling likes surprises, I don't think that such a turn in the plot is part of her style. I don't believe she would undo such great occurrences. And after all it would be just too nice. Their should be some sorrow remain in the storry. It would be boring if everything was fine in the end.
Well nevertheless, I was sad too, when I realized that the person to die in the OotP was Sirius.
RemusL, I have no clue what you are talking about. Saying that plot turns isn't part of J.K's style is just like saying the Crotch-Grab isn't Michael Jackson's thang. I mean, J.K ALWAYS has big turns in the plot, point out a book where it doesn't, and then maybe I'll consider your point being legitament.
Naw...I think that Sirius coming back as a ghost would be cooler than him never coming back at all. But anyway, how do people become ghosts anyway? I am trying for links here...but the only one I can come up with is that you are okay with dying. Anyway...I don't think he have seen (or heard from) the last of Sirius Black. Whether he comes back in any way, shape, or form...or even if he just communicates with Harry. He may be dead, like Rowling said....but he isn't gone.
I don't think its famous people...cause look at Mrytle. I think its only people who don't want to die, or who aren't okay with death. Perhaps Sirius accepted death, that's why he can't come back as a ghost...or maybe he isn't dead at all. You never know, besides, I don't think Sirius would welcome death when he thinks he needs to be there for Harry's sake when Voldemort uprises. Sirius would want to be there to give Harry his Godfatherly advice, don't you think? I dunno, I just don't think we have seen the last of Sirius Black.
