Yeah, I'm against that too. Not going to the playoffs or not, there's too much pre-determined bias in your opinions based off of your earlier matches against us. It's not that I wouldn't trust a participant to be fair, it's that everyone forms opinions that favor their own tactics in tourneys, and similarly against tactics that other teams try. It's a necessity of debate....it helps if we believe what we write. So the notion of an unbiased outsider goes out the window, regardless of how sincere the person is that they will remain fair.

I agree... we're trying to discuss new picks last minute, things are hectic, and I've been at work and doing holiday things (Canadian thanksgiving today) all day so haven't been able to even submit a write-up yet... we're still not agreed on drafts, and shit's been happening.

I realize we're just one team, but seeing as we're still not getting votes in, which I know at least Digi is looking at (as am I), I don't think asking for a week long postponement is uncalled for at this point.

Anyways... just something to consider. But I'm all kinds of exhausted, so if matches do begin tomorrow, my team will be writeup-less (Blair has a huge accounting test tomorrow that he's studying for).

Postponing the match would be the best variant. Team Kandy\Id is also MIA, so two matches are going to be handicapped that week (I don't know why Kandy won't step in and help his partner- their big guns have well-detailed RTs to operate on, so his absence is unknown to me).

So far only me and Scoobs can have our match in time that week.

I propose in the next tourney Kfish and I team up. I pick the teams and plans. He fixes them and debates them. 🙂

Actually, maybe a mid season break is a good idea. Give everyone time to handle things in real life and gather more materials for a strong finish. It'll also give me time to sort out things on the judge front.

Agree with that. Especially since that week I have to present literature list for my course paper at the university (by Friday), so not much for tourney researches etc.
