Comic book science. Same with Spider-Man. It irradiated Banner's DNA before he turned into Hulk.

Compatible with comicbook science, yes. Learning martial arts doesn't have nothing to do with science, it's mind. Mastering a martial art in few days isn't compatible in either of the worlds.

Very true. But how about a man like Champion? Can he know all the martial arts in the universe? Probably not, since no-one has ever said that he has been on Earth studying martial arts, but still most of the people agree that he might know every single style. How about we shaking hands and you getting it on with jinzin? Ja hyvää pääsiäistä DC.
Well, you know what, I don't believe that Champion knows all the martial arts in the universe either, I believe that he knows thousands of them. And since he has lived billions of years, that's not so crazy at all.
And I can debate this with someone else.
Ja hyvää pääsiäistä sinullekkin. 😄

so it's okay to accept one aspect of comics because THAT aspect makes sense in the comic world it exists in but not another? riiiiiight.... 🙄

And the bios mean less then nothing. There is an old scan (I posted it a while ago) of Cap fighting Zemo and tells him he is a master of every fighting style.

When he hasn't exhibited anything else then being a master in about five styles, maybe three...sounds like bad writing or hyperbole...Cyclops has stated that he struck Juggernaut with enough force to "rip a planet in half" but it doesn't mean that he actually meant that he could.
two completely different comparisons wouldn't you think?

Wow one line out of how many comics.....................thousands and thousands its a piece that just isn't used often by Cap.....................not to mention once again hyperbole.
Bios must mean something its a pick and choose world for the writers🙂

The bomb didn't directly struck him...the radiation did, and it only irradiated the DNA, like I said before...

When the day comes that in comics, completely mastering a martial art in less then a week isn't anything special, it's okay to accept that Cap can master 400 styles in five years...prior to that no.
Why do the martial artists in comics say stuff like "It took me countless years to master this technique" if it would be easy to learn thousands of them in a month?

Example of hyperbole. Captain America was simply overrestimating his skills, didn't know that there are more then five styles in the world, or was just bragging.
None of the comics prior or after that show any indication that he has practiced, learnt or even heard about that many styles.

Every hand ninja is a master of 12 martial arts (and that is just the genin)... I imagine Cap know more then that. Also it seems out of character for Cap to brag and grossly over estimate himself wouldn't you say?
But hand ninjas have basically dedicated their entire life to martial arts, most of them have started way earlier then Cap, plus they have mystical stuff and magic to help them perfect their fighting.
And how old is the comic where Cap fights Zemo? Because only lately he has become more humble...he used to brag like crazy during his older days.

in caps bio his stats put him at a 7 which implies he's a master of every martial art or close to it...

granted.. but how would you tell during fights? like i said comic posses are notoriously ambiguous for displayine martial arts form.. i mean that even holds true for comics like SF...

And at the same time contradicts itself?
Abilities: Captain America has agility, strength, speed, endurance, and reaction time superior to any Olympic athlete who ever competed. The Super-Soldier formula that he has metabolized has enhanced all of his bodily functions to the peak of human efficiency. Notably, his body eliminates the excessive build-up of fatigue-producing poisons in his muscles, granting him phenomenal endurance.Captain America has mastered the martial art of American-style boxing and judo, and has combined these disciplines with his own unique hand-to-hand style of combat. He engages in a daily regimen of rigorous exercise (including aerobics, weight lifting, gymnastics, and simulated combat) to keep himself in peek condition. Captain America is one of the finest human combatants Earth has ever known.
Great job, handbook writers....but try to lay off the mind-altering drugs for a moment, though. 😛

Well tthats what I meant but then read on his stats it says he uses a combination of american boxing and judo to form his own system of fighting. Also he has mastered several other forms.............but it doesn't say all.
Wolverine's says he knows virtually all forms.................virtually being the key expletive............
