If it is not reinserted, the rebels, aka people in Zion, will grow large enough to pose a serious problem to the longevity of the Matrix, thus, they must be removed from the equation. This causes the Sentinels to attack Zion, but if Zion is destroyed, the ONE will die before too long, so he must choose to reset the matrix inorder that humanity survive. Does that answer the question that i do not know?

Metamorphisis :I never mentioned the end of anything, all i said was the "point" of life, now you've given one theory on the "point" of life, i am sure there are many theories, although i do pretty much agree with what you said.
I have no problems with the "conclusion" of the matrix, i love movies left open for discussion, it allows the movie to live on.
So no need to worry about this young chap. 😄
Sorry, I took it completely wrong from your post above my last:
[quote]You've spent the last few years of your life searching for the point??
Maybe you should go on a mighty seach and walk many a mile to find out the point of life so that you are able to relise exactly what you wasted.
In fact, i plan to do the same.[/quote
However, I would say that the "theory" of life in this manner is not so much a theory, but indirectly factual. 😛 JUST because all of our purposes are different, but we all make the journey - and all should realize that our time is limited so we should make use of it. 🙂 So, ineffect, I didn't give the point of YOUR life 😄 I just gave the simplistic point of life - short of procreating... LoL Fornicate Under the Command of the King!!
No worries here though 😉

I loved the matrix trilogy but what i don't get is what is the purpose of the little girl in Revo. It is said in the movie that everyone has a purpose. I think that the girl is the next Neo because it seems like she could rewrite the matrix at the end and thats what the One can do right?
I know this was discussed elsewhere, but I don't remember the SEVERAL places, so I'll post my answers again in brief. If anyone else cares to contribute to that for you, then great.
Sati was a program that had no purpose. She was the daughter of Rhama and his wife, who were system programs, but did not live within the Matrix. Rhama and his wife were smuggling their daughter off of the main system and into the Matrix where she could live as an exhile. Though she did not have a true purpose to the machine's world, she is needed to demonstrate that AI has the capabilities of love, and her purpose could be defined as "beauty." That's because, as a very innocent child with lots of questions she is demonstrating the beauty of child like innocents, and it's taken another step when they show how powerful of a program she really is when she creates the sunrise "for Neo". As a daughter of two system programs she would have direct access over the Matrix program, but her full potential is not known.

I answered your question, and Jedi, for the most part, did too. Without removing the anomaly (Neo) from the matrix, the probability of more anomalies occuring would most likely grow at an exponetial rate causing a massive system failure. With Zion on the verge of being destroyed, if the anomaly did not restart the matrix and select the 23 individuals, the system of control built upon Zion would crumble causing the eventual death of both man and machine.
When Neo restarts the matrix, the code he carries is dissiminated from the matrix program and the orriginal "Prime" code is reinserted. So if Neo does not restart the matrix, the prime code is not reinserted, and the anomaly is not removed which would lead to the death of all man and machine.

L😆L I can understand that! There's a lot to take in. Especially when you start contemplating on the very nature of reality, and philosophies related to such. There are so many intracate details behind everything in the movies, such as the purple blindfold Neo wears in Revolutions. Purple has several meansing spanning from Royalty, to mystics, to plague/death. All three meanings apply to Neo, as he appeared before the machines to represent Man, he had abilities beyond normal comprehensions, and he did indeed die. Some will disagree with me that he's dead, but there are to many symbols refering to him being dead: Laying in a crusifix manner, the scene where the machines remove his body in a very viking funeral ritualistic manner, the purple blindfold, "last" goodbyes made by Neo to Morpheus, and that sort of thing.
Well anyway, ask away, we are willing to answer... 🙂
