Holes in The Matrix Movies

but if it was possible to delete them, then why didnt that big machine did it before

bcoz there was no direct connection bet smith and the sys as he was a virus gone mad......the only connection which existed 2wards smith was that of the one (neo) as explained in reloaded.......so the machines cud not delete him.....

what type of connection was between smith and the one?

Smith infected him... did you watch the movie?

Smith is Neo's negative, the result of the equation as explained by the Oracle in Revolutions, so when Smith infected Neo the equation was balanced out hence the machines had the power to delete the equation.

Part of Neo's code was copied onto Smith...Then he became part of the anomaly. That is the connection.

hey alpha did u see the movie.....just see the scene of reloaded b4 the burly brawl and u will get these answers!!!!!!

I know it does; I have seen it. 😠 Now i have to understand it. 😮

chk it out again i have seen all 3 movies uncountable times

Neo tried to delete Smith but how the hell a virus was created?
IT'S COMPLETELY ILLOGICAL IF YOU KNOW COMPUTER SCIENCE

Neo DID delete Smith, but Smith chose to become an exile and somehow became a virus.

nice

This "somehow" is making me aggravated.

Yeah it'd be good to get a straight answer.

No-one here can give a straight answer, its all best guessing, now i'll give it a shot.

Smith's purpose at the time of M1 was to find and destroy The One, he failed in doing that, so he was put up for deletion, but he chose to retreat to The Matrix, now everything else that happened after that has something to do with Neo jumping into Smith. Smith inherited some of his special abilities, as the code was apart of Smith before he exploded or whatever... or something. Even Smith points out in Reloaded how it is irrelevant how it came about, what matters is it happened.

"That is at this point irrelevant, what matters is that whatever happened, happened for a reason."

Hmm, he also says, "at this point"... MEH!

Ahh well, i don't know, come up with your own solution i guess, movies don't have to make sense.

Good day. 😄

The Alpha

The Alpha>what type of connection was between smith and the one?

Agent Smith is deleted when Neo jumps inside him at the end of M1.

As a deleted program he is supposed to return to the source
(as he says just before the Burly Brawl - "i know what i was supposed to do"😉 but he does not.

He is also no longer an Agent (as shown when he gives his ear-piece to Neo - "you set me free"😉

So he is now a rogue program - 'Smith' rather than 'Agent Smith'.

However he is something more than this due to what happened to him - the One jumped inside him.
As he says to Neo they have formed 'some sort of connection' with 'something overwritten' etc.

So somehow Neos powers have changed Smith giving him the ability to replicate and also forming the connection between them both. (good vs evil)

The Alpha

The Alpha>machine killed neo in the real world which caused the kill of smith in the matrix (neo-cloned-smith) why all other died? It was not necessary.

At the end of Revolutions Neo allows Smith to replicate and copy himself onto Neo.

As Neo is plugged in by the machines they can send an 'anti-virus' through Neos body which goes through all the smiths in the matrix.

This destroys the Smiths in the matrix as he has taken over Neo.

The Alpha>but if it was possible to delete them, then why didnt that big machine did it before?

It was only possible for the machines to destroy Smith because they used Neo. Because of the Neo/Smith connection and the fact that Smith had copied himself onto Neo the machines were given a link to Smith and so sent the 'anti-virus' to kill him.

The machines could not get to Smith before because:
he was no longer an Agent,
he should have returned to the source when he was deleted by Neo,
he was a rogue program,
his connection to Neo allowed him to become a virus.

Neo hadn't any power to create his clones.

agreed.

no-one is saying that Smith gains all of Neos powers.

Because Neo jumps inside smith this changes his code.
Smith explains this himself just before the Burly Brawl and says things about his code having 'something overwritten' or changed.

This means the nature of smiths code has been changed but doesnt mean that he has to have the exact same powers that Neo has.

Because of what is changed in smiths code he now has the power to create his clones.

okie dokie
