Spider-Man vs Batman

This is the real answer: Batman, as a fictional character, would probably win. That's how the comics work. It's because Batman has a higher drama factor. He's a better icon. Spider-Man has more reading value in the long run (or it did back in the Silver Age), but Batman is a classic, immortal symbol of You-Don't-Want-A-Piece-O'-This. When two icons of similar stature such as Superman and Batman fight, Batman will win because it's the more surprising outcome (on the surface, to non-Bat-experts, anyway) and because Batman is a better character. Read enough comics, you'll see how it is with these things.
That said, I have to declare that this question is incomplete. You can't begin to answer this without context. Where are they, what can be used in battle, are both combatants at their peak, are they fully equipped? Most importantly, does Batman know who he is going to fight ahead of time? If both are at their peak, then Spider-Man should win on the basis of his metahuman speed, strength and spider-sense. If Batman was prepared ahead of time, he would bring some kind of gadget that would circumvent Spider-Man's spidey-sense, leave him physically vulnerable, and then he would take him down gently with a light ass-whooping. Batman is known as a more mature, always-prepared, obsessively meticulous character. If he met Spider-Man even once, he'd have a rough idea of how to deal with him should they ever fight. Only if Batman didn't know the extent of Spider-Man's powers would he not be ready. Keep in mind, if there is any public note of Spider-Man's spider-sense at all (he has let it slip out in front of people), even if not in an obvious medium, then Batman would find the information, memorize it, and make a plan to counter it.

I agree, but I also disagree. If Batman met Spider-Man,there's no doubt that he'd gather ways of defeating him,but so will Spider-Man to Batman. It has been mentioned in Amazing #54.The both of these fighters are strategist,Batman being the most dedicated of the pair. But,don't assume that just because Batman is a better preparer that Spider-Man would just fall to his knees. He's been known to take people like Doom and Iron Man in the stretegic area when he wanted to.It might not have been as high tech as something Batman would come up with, but it got the job done.

😉 There is no doubt that SpiderMan will win! He is a natural at
fighting crime and has a very big sticky web! I think Batman is
a fake. He has got gagets and toys to fight crime and some even
fail. SpiderMan is the MAN or should I say my MAN! 😎

I've already said elsewhere they I think Batman has at least a 50% chance at beating Spider-Man. I figure that if it ever does come down to it, Batman will win just based on the fact that he's a more experienced character (meaning he's got tenure after being published and merchandised for 65 years), he's impossibly skilled at everything you need to fight, he is almost never wrong, and he's "cooler" (although Spider-Man is more entertaining). That's what I say with the knowledge of how comic stories are written. We have no context for his fight, so if I think about it story-wise, I think that it would depend on what's at stake. Besides, we know they would just end up teaming up together against someone else anyway.

spiderman all the way batman is a pussy to spider-man

Batman isn't a pussy to anyone. Batman is more of a bad-ass than Spider-Man-- anyone can see that. Spider-Man is several times stronger and faster than Batman, and his spider-sense combined with his reflexes would give him the edge over Batman. That doesn't make Batman a pussy. Batman scares Spider-Man, just like he does with everyone else.
I don't understand where these people [almost] learn to speak English. "Wolverine's a wuss compared with Spider-Man", "Batman is a pussy to Spider-Man." Metahuman strength level doesn't determine whether someone is a pussy or not.

i still say its even, but saying bat's wins becuase hes darker or more used to fighting dosent seem like much of a reason to down play spidey

niether are pussies in anysense, Spidey has had his dark moments too, read spider-man: tourment, he went apeshit on the lizard and broke its neck with a chain

Agreed.

He broke the Lizard's neck? Like, the real, Doc Connors Lizard? Did he heal himself or was it just some 'gator or something?

well it was long series were a witch doctor((Kravens wife)) used the lizard to get spidey, it dies a few times but keeps getting resurected.Spidey didnt want to actualy kill it becuase it was Connors.

near the end Spidey is cought and beat down until he goes nuts, he picks up a bundle of chains and whipped them at the lizards head and turned his neck into linguini

I suppose they gloss over that little detail to keep his no-killing record clean. Just like when he swung a big bag of pumpkin bombs right into the Green Goblin's midsection after he killed Ben Reilly. He didn't die, so no one need remember that Spider-Man committed a murderous act. Obviously, Spider-Man knows by now that Osborn won't die, but did he know that the Lizard would be resurrected once more?

well the lizard did return, but it was almost a differnt monster completley.
i know what you mean, spidey isnt a killer in any way

good point.I mean, even superman has killed(zod and friends) 3 people, Daredevil has(about 3or4). For all his badassness, I'm not sure Bats has, he just cripples at the most. If he has, I'm sure it would be last resort coz he DOES have a code of ethics and values human life.

i have all torments and the spider-man whiped chains at him and messed him up and then at the end it shows lizards hand sticking out of water its one the coolest storys of spidey

yeah, torment rocks!McFarlane Rocks!

You can value human life and still kill. Wolverine kills and there's no question he values human life. Even the Punisher does, in his own trigger-happy way. Just not that of true scum.

Superman sent himself into exile after he killed those other-dimensional Kryptonians, and then he had some deep-seated psychological issues, including an alternate vigilante personality emerging.

The Batman isn't allowed to kill. He used a handgun in the beginning (1939), used deadly force at times, shot a sleeping vampire with a silver bullet (although I would think even the 1950's Comics Code could excuse that one, if they actually allowed vampires), and he used machine guns on his plane to kill a bunch of engineered mutations. After that, the Powers That Be said he couldn't kill anymore. It's not a good message to send to children, after all! They said the same thing about having a young boy in tights risking his life in fights with gangsters alongside the Batman, but they changed their minds once Robin doubled sales. 🙄

Daredevil probably has killed a few people. In Frank Miller's rewrite of his origin "The Man Without Fear," he literally begged a psychopathic pedophile hit-man to stop shooting at him because he didn't want to kill him. He kept deflecting the bullets with a police baton, and eventually, he deflected it right into the shooter. Before that, he accidentally killed a whore by knocking her out a window during a huge whore-brawl that he couldn't escape from. She survived and went on to be Typhoid Mary. He gave Mysterio a talking-to that incited him to commit suicide, after the villain--who was already dying of cancer-- killed an innocent girl in her family after artificially inseminating the girl, got his girlfriend killed, and was threatening to let the baby die. I'd say all of these are justified under the circumstances. Too bad Murdock's such a Catholic guilt-bank.

Spider-Man's as bad as Daredevil, but without the label of religion. If he killed someone, he'd probably launch himself into space for a while like Superman did and flog himself out there until he passed through our solar system again.

thats the DD kills I meant too.In that same comic he killed a guy underwater too,'he's got a knife, no choice, give it back to him'. I don't think wolvie and Punisher value life as much as the other mentioned characters. DD and supes for instance would always believe that the criminals can be helped, no matter how evil. You're right about Murdock, I think confessions were made for vigilante's like himself. Frank Miller: ' I made DD a Catholic because only a Catholic could be a Lawyer and vigilante'. Thats a quote by the way, so please don't take this post out.

Frank Castle may not value human life the way most people do, but he continues to kill criminals to prevent them from hurting others. He's a nutcase, but he has a spark of human compassion in there somewhere.

Granted, he stated once that the only thing he really values anymore is innocence, but Wolverine is disgusted by people who don't value human life, and he shows it quite passionately. Just because a person kills doesn't mean they don't respect human life. Some lives are more valuable than others. Those who threaten others forfeit their lives for the sake of those that choose to live decent lives.

I support Wolverine's way of thinking. Castle, on the other hand is a maniac and I would probably put him in the ground if I were Wolverine, just to insure that he didn't cross the line and hurt innocents.

I agree with most of that, but I just meant that on a spectrum, Murdock and Kent would be nearer the compassionate side than the other two killers. Wolvie does have the heart of a poet though

blah...Batman is a freakin mortal. I don't care about him being a great strategist. His gagdets won't work because Spider-man will see them coming and he doesn't have any copout ways of getting beat like Superman did with the kryptonite. With his strength, intelligence and speed I don't see any reason why Spider-man wouldn't dominate Batman...all it would take is one punch and it's over. Hell, even Eric Draven would dominate Batman's ass lol.

I will give you the benifit of the doubt due to the fact that you mock peoples piss-poor grammer, and this is funny. 😂 Anyways, I will defend the honor of Spider-Man, as he would most definetly win in such a battle.

First of all, yes... Batman is strong in the sense of both:
a) His intelligence, and
b) His backround in martial arts.

However, Batman does not posess that which I consider to be "superhuman." He is a guy who, unfortunately, witnessed his parents murder, so he decided, "Hey, maybe I will study Karate and then put on a skin-tight suit resembling a bat then fight crime!"

HE HAS NO REAL POWERS! THAT IS WHAT DEFINES A SUPERHERO!

Spider-Man would have Batman at his mercy.

I'm not going to comment on the Spiderman/Batman thing, but I will comment on this.

You, sir, are an idiot.
