Whoa whoa whoa. Spider-Man isn't a fighter? No offense, but have you read Spider-Man comics? He most certainly has the punching power to shatter Batman's skull. In actuality, though Spider-Man has 10-ton level strength, he has on occasion surpassed this by several tons. Usually it involves an invocation to Aunt May or Mary Jane or something, but he has proven he can lift many more tons than 10. Anyway, people forget Spidey has a temper. He usually pulls his punches but he has also let loose and sent Thor flying across the room. Batman is not Thor. Whether 15 or 40 times faster *does it really matter?* he is significantly faster than Batman and his spider-sense would always kick in before Batman threw a punch. Batman is Daredevil level, Spider-Man has defeated Daredevil.

The argument that the fan favorite would win doesn't work here for two reasons: Spider-Man is arguably more popular than Batman, and the relative popularity of the two characters is so close that it can't really be taken into consideration anyway. Secondly, both Spidey and Bats are veterans that have been around since before most of us have been alive. Granted, Bats predates Spidey by over 20 years, but they're both veterans. Also, powers most certainly have bearing when discussing this in a comics thread. Otherwise the answer to EVERY match-up would be 'It depends on what the writer wants.' Of course that's the universal answer, but this forum wouldn't exist if everyone came to that conclusion. It takes the fun out of it. This forum is a 'who do you think would win if this was real life and the characters could actually fight.' Writers aren't taken into consideration. In that regard, powers certainly come into play, and Batman, while wiser, is not necessary more established *it's Spider-Man we're talking about, not some no-name hero* and their intelligence is on a comparable level. Comics are written however a writer wants to write it, but in this forum, it's about who would ACTUALLY win. Spider-Man would.

I have to go with the Bats in this one, but in a SECOND round knock-out. I think Spidey could and probably would beat Bat-Man the first time they faced off, but with Bat-Man's obviously superior combat strategy, the next time they met, he'd have 17 different gizmos ready to whip Spider Man in 5 panels. But if it's only a one-shot, then I go with Spidey. Besides, Marvel's cooler anyway.

First of all, the video =game is taken from the movie, and the comic stats.... don't hate on them for making the most accurate superfhero video game. u guys are really mature....calling ppl names behind a screen.......grow the fcuk up already.
Superninja008 just to let you know spiderman 1 game sucked, because different people just kept coming with stuff they did not liked about the game but the one thing that most people complained about was the graphics. Spiderman 2 game the only thing that most people seem to like about that game is that you can go anywhere and a little bit improve graphics. Apart from that nothing seems good.
Sorry but using the game just because there is a part in the game that was in the movie is a very idiotic remark because if one have seen the movie why would I want to see a particular move again in the game. People play games not to watch movies but to gain street credit among your peers. AND FOR WHAT I READ YOU WHERE REFEREEING THE VIDEO GAME AS EVIDENCE.
Power always come in to consideration when someone is fighting another. But powers such as those possessed by spiderman are not going to be any trouble for the batman (off course they are going to be but it is not going to make any difference.) Why because batman considers these things as weaknesses because he can go around each an everyone of them.
If batman could not go around people like spiderman why does he not build himself a power suit, like steel or ironman? The reason he does not need to.
