Radd, you said 'no ****ing way Thor is faster than Surfer.' Exactly what the hell does that have to do with anything? Nothing. All that means is Surfer would run away from the fight faster than Thor could catch him. No doubt that is true, but the fact is, Surfer is not as powerful. Faster makes no difference. He was 'sick'? Lol, do not understand how pathetic that sounds? It doesn't matter if you believe it, it's a fact. Facts aren't there for people to believe or not, they're just there. Thor beat Surfer. Fact. The current Thor isn't King Thor, he gave up the Odinpower, but he is immensely more powerful than he ever has been *as just Thor I mean*. The current Thor would take down Surfer every time.

LOL, the sick thing was a joke, come on you didn´t get it?
i really don´t care about the fanboy crap, i just wanted to point out that every comic that i´ve read, surfer always sound more powerful then thor (and i know this doesn´t prove anything).
and speed doesn´t work only for running away, use your head for a change.
let´s just point out some facts:
1-thor has amazing resistance to injury, surfer is indestructible.
2-we all know w´ho´s faster.
3- thor is class 100tons, so is surfer.
the only way thor can beat the surfer is trough mjolnir, now we have to compare mjolnir´s powers with the cosmic power (i think you all know they´re powers so i will skip them).
i think that surfer is more powerful, if they made a story where thor beat the surfer, then you are right jfan, it´s not because i haven´t read it that makes it false, and i acept it, i was just saying i don´t agree, because of all the bases that i have from boths, but if it did hapen then its true, no prob with that.
sorry, big failure, yes it´s true thor is a better fighter then surfer, altough surfer is a pacifist he is getting a better fighter trough the years, but thor is a warrior for many years, Radd was a cientist.
about the surfboard, yes indeed, but he fights in his board, without his board i think he and thor have the same speed.
i have a question, can thor fly without mjolnir? i always though he could but one time i red he couldn´t.
What do you mean 'unless he's using Mjolnir?' He ALWAYS uses Mjolnir. He wouldn't go into a fight without it unless you have a really poor writer who doesn't get Thor's obsessive-compulsive attachment to that hammer. Let's discuss this logically, after all, we are talking about comic books here.
Thor and Surfer are virtually equal in strength.
Thor has god-power, Surfer has cosmic-power, both enabling them to project incredibly powerful and destructive blasts.
Thor and Surfer are both insanely durable and have virtually equal invulnerability. Neither are really 'destructable.'
The difference here is Thor is tough. Surfer's not. That doesn't mean he's not strong or resistant to injury, but he doesn't have the toughness of a warrior. That's a BIG checkmark in Thor's favor, as toughness often overrides mere strength.
And finally, Thor has a hammer, Surfer has a surfboard. Carpenters will always win a fight with surfers.
The classic Thor could not fly without Mjolnir, but I think with his recent increase in power he might. I'm not sure, I only read them in the bookstore, so I don't have them to check.

if you read a story that has occurred in space almost all the time is full of mistakes, in the case of this fight is more arguible, but i still think if thor beat surfer, that it was bad writing, is it fanboyism? No it´s my opinion based on the knowledge of the 2 characters. for example you also think that juggernaugh fight with onslaugh was bad writing am i correct? and more important you all remember the fight between superman and thor, where superman beat the crap out of thor, i tough that was correct, but then i learn a few things in here and i remember particularly never´s posts, and after reading them, now i know thor shoul have beat superman, but it didn´t happen, that was simply bad writing, i still believe thor would win against supes, but it wasn´t what happen in the comic books, and in this case i´m going against the writers again.
