The Bible

Well, what could be considered "Proof of God"? Trees? Joy? Happiness? I don't see anything as proof of God, perhaps if someone gave me an actual example I could understand where this "proof" is.

I just have to post thisshit

I have so many proofs... But what's the use of telling you, link, when you don't even believe in the Bible
proof is stated facts not someones faith in a book

Well, the earth was round... thousands of years before somebody explored the world and declared that the earth is round ... the Bible has already described the earth as round
The Vikings believed the earth to be round and that was long before they heard about any bible. The spherics of Earth was known to the Ancient Greeks.
And there is huge debates disputing the fact that the medieval Europe actually believed the earth to be flat at all

about the bible though
And he shall set up an ensign for the nations, and shall assemble the outcasts of Israel, and gather together the dispersed of Judah from the four corners of the earth Isaiah 11:12

That it might take hold of the ENDS OF THE EARTH, that the wicked might be shaken out of it? Job 38:13
These are just a vouple of examples, so one can say that the bible teaches the earth is flat just as musch as it states that it is round

😂 see ... i never thought you would understand "the four corners of the earth" and the "ends of the earth" literally.

those phrases however do not imply for the shape of the earth...

🙄 😂

Corners refers to the winds...

Plus, remember that the Bible is written as a magnificent piece of prose and poetry. That doesn't mean it's all fiction though.

see ... i never thought you would understand "the four corners of the earth" and the "ends of the earth" literally.
it is in how you interpreter it . Dont overestimate your own intellect here Jury cause it aint all that hard to really understand it, but as I said it could be interpreted to be flat. It could also be interpreter to mean the four direction of the compass, it is all in how you see it.

those phrases however do not imply for the shape of the earth
again they might do as much as they dont. You really dont know the real intention the author had while writing it, you think you do, but you dont

The fact is that the shape of the earth has been believed to be round by many ancient society that had not heard of any bible at that time.

Well, whoever those society you're talking about fins, God's chosen people knew it... by virtue of Prophet Isaiah.

"That He sits over the round earth." (Isaiah 40:22)

The authors of the Bible lived in the ancient world, which wasn't a bunch of separate societies. All these world were connected by powerful Empires (like Egypt, Assyria, Babel and later Greece). So where the concept of round earth originated... who knows. And more importanly, who cares.

The bible I have is a Norwegian one but if I were to translate Isaiah 40:22 it goes something like this "he that sitteth upon the circle of the earth, and the inhabitants thereof are as grasshoppers; that stretcheth out the heavens as a curtain, and spreadeth them out as a tent to dwell in

God's chosen people
actually who are gods chosen people cause it seems that the original chosen pople of god aint chosen anymore or havent been chosen for a very long time

So where the concept of round earth originated... who knows
fact is they aint so sure anymore wetter EDUCATED people and those who use the sea as a means of transportation really belived in a flat earth

oh "circle" ... that's interesting!!! 😄 clap

God's chosen people --> God never ceases to choose people to be His chosen ones. Even at the end of time .. God will still choose His people to be saved. 🙂

hopefully for him it wont be the other way around then

and the circle, it is actually the words used in every thing I actually seen of that Isaiah verse

✅ Yes. And the passage has a thought that the earth being describe there would all mean as "round". 🙄

it's very easy if you go and say "hey, don't take THAT litteral" and on other occasions "it's written so in the bible"

if you can't take some things litteral, who are you to judge what to take litteral and what not?
in the end it comes down on what you believe is the truth in the book

logically yes, but then again the bible aint logical at all, so circle doesnt necessarily have to indicate a round sphere, could also be circle as a coin is a circle

If you really look into it you will see it's no as random as you make it sound. But it's very easy to stand far away on the sidel and comment like that.

i have just started going to church about 4 months ago and from what i have read most seems to be fact.

do you have any proof or evidence to support that claim?
