WindDancer> Ah, but tell me this: Are Kant, St. Thomas, Descartes and Eigena experts on the existence of God?
Those men dedicated their lives and time to philosophical and theological thinking. From there arouse their reasons and their ideas of God. They set out to prove God's existence (Well, maybe not Kant, he was more of into the priori of Knownledge) and to be honest their writtings are far more to complex to be discuss in KMC. We are talking bulks of books in which WITHOUT any need of Religious argurments they came out with proofs of Gods exsitence. So, yes! if you were to compare ourselves with them.....they are the experts. I mean come on! Copernicous, Galileo, and Newton were experts on their fields. The gentleman above were also experts.

But as BF pointed out: A human parent is responsible for the actions of his/her child, until the child comes of age. We are God’s children – therefore God is responsible for our actions. Surely you don’t mean to say, that we are NOT Gods children.
I see that the Christian idea of God being a parent is stuck in your head. When I speak of God, I'm speaking of God as in a philosophical term. As I mention once before. God is a Philosophical being. There are ways to talk about God's existence. One is throught religion the other through philosophy.

The MADE us? Maybe, they also gave us free-will......so make your choices in life.

So if I believe in God he takes away my free will? There are millions who believe in God, yet the world doesn’t look too good. So must every single human on the planet believe in God, before he helps his children?
I guess God and chilren really get's really stuck in the head?😑
Anyways, What do you think would happen if we ALL lose our free-will? What would our world be if we had no choices? Do you believe that there is sucha thing as free-will?

A creationist does NOT take science seriously (please, revisit the Evolutions thread). But there are as you say religious people who do not take their books literal, and accept science, just as there are religious scientists. It’s a matter of how fundamental the religious people are.
Not all creationist will take science seriously. Nor all evolutionist take religion seriously. Until they both drop their pride of trying to be right all the time weren't going nowhere. Maybe give each other a chance? Unless evolutionists are fundamentals too? Oye!

No. Science is not a child – or do you claim the computer you sit by is a piece of cake? 😉
I don't recall mentioning Technology (which is an offspring of science) in the discussion. But if you think That technology and science is the same, then suit yourself. I won't argue with you on that one.

You have to be taught to love? Wow, I was capable of doing that without ever reading a book. I loved my mother and father before I was even old enough to grasp the concept of love...or the bible.
Not judge people? Explain Christian views on gay people and homosexuals. Thanks...
Be honest? Noah built an Arc with 2 of every animal on it, Moses parted the Red Sea, and Jesus came back to life. Unprobable? nahh.....IMPOSSIBLE. ✅ [/B]
Taught to love those who hate you. To pray for God to bless those that persecute you.
There are different views on gays/homosexuals in the Christian church. I believe that you can still have feelings for people of the same sex as you, so long as you don't act upon them. I dont see that as judging people. I see that as accepting people, no matter what they think/feel. 😛
And its only impossible for you because you dont have faith. 😛

Fair enough 🙂
EVERY SINGLE BOOK ON THIS PLANET has been thought up and written by man, the notion that it would be ANY OTHER WAY, is why your logic and your beliefs make no sense. God didn't write the book and he didn't tell a man what to write in the book....A man thought it up, and said it was "in the word of God." Unless God has a type writer none of us know about...🙄
Written by man, yes, but thought up by man, not really. During the time when the first part of the bible was written, many of the are the works of various prophets. Although these prophets wrote a lot of the books in the old testament, they were like go-betweens between God and the people on earth. So really, they were just writing what God told them to. As for the other books, its true that they were written by men, but I still think that God had a lot to do with the writing of them.

The bible states quite clearly that homosexuality is very wrong, however just because we dont support it doesnt mean that we cant be friend with people who are gay. We still treat them like normal people, and we still talk to them and are still friends with them but we just dont
particularly approve of what theyre doing. And yes, i know that they dont need our "approval" but you know what I mean. The fact of the matter is, we think its wrong.
If a homosexual person was to walk into my church, then we would invite them in and welcome them. Just because we dont approve of their way of life, doesnt mean that we're going to reject them.

No, you'd let you're all caring and all wonderful God do that and send them to hell because of their way of life, despite the fact that it's hurting no one.

And what of the homosexuals that HAVE accepted God as their savior, and are still gay? Why hasn't God changed them?
The fact is, they shouldn't have to change in order to get on good terms with God. If they are good, decent, honest people who aren't hurting anyone, God should already love them and not worry about something as trivial as who they happen to be attracted to.
