why are you an atheist?

Its real easy to tell a real christian from the fake.

There is a big difference between saying you believe and really believing.

If you really believe then you will obey Gods law, If you ask for forgivness and you believe in Gods judgement you will not commit that sin or sin again, because that would be the same as commiting suicide.

A real christian would understand all these things and try hard to uphold the teachings of Jesus Christ. That is what being a christian is.

I believe god talks to people through dreams, not straight up.

Why not?

I don't understand, are you saying that if God talks to you, you are crazy? What about all the people in Bible? are they crazy?

An actual encounter is rare, but theoretically possible if he's omnipotent. Don't disagree with that, it is a rare but true fact.

Is it a common thing for George Bush to tell you what to do straight to your face? No, but you'll hear about it from almost any other source. If he could, he would invade your dreams. The fact that he's evil makes this example slightly off though.

How is that easy to tell again?

Possibly God can- what with the soul reading, but I agree with Turbo-Cajun, we have to have some answers here.

Oh shit... this one is going on the wall

Oh shit... you vex me off more than anything else. If you are right in my eyes, i agree.

Yeah, if there is a god I'm sure he can tell if someone is a believer or not. However there is no one on earth qualified to judge the merit of someone's religious beleifs. Whether they appear to believe, or whether they appear to be non-believers, no one really knows if they buy into it or not except for them.

Regardless of whether it vexes you or not, its still going on the wall...

Yes, but it still is a negative action to take, a rude thing to imply. It's a attack against me, not my intelligence.

Its an attack on you to say that you at one point agreed with me? I'm hurt...

No, to imply that I never agree with anyone because that is beyond me (you thought).

I don't think I have enough faith to be an atheist 😬

what? by saying that you agreed with me proves that you are capable of agreeing with others... i still dont see why you are being so defensive about it. Lots of intelligent people agree with what I say... you have joined the ranks of Turbo-Cajun supporters, you should be proud.

Does anyone else think that that was annoying?

I think we have to be able to agree-to-disagree here Ytaker... you need to avoid stooping so low as to call me annoying. That is below your level of intellect. You should be able to address issues without resorting to labeling and name calling.

This situtation is a caustic experiance for me. I gave you an adjective, because you were the cause. If you directly assault me, I respond in your field of play.

I'm not assaulting you Ytaker, directly or indirectly. I merely stated an objective fact, Ytaker agreed with Turbo-Cajun. Granted this was preceeded by an expression of surprise, still you chose to attack me based upon my statement of fact. I was not implying anything, I was stating facts. If you have a problem dealing with people based upon their choice to state facts, then I guess you aren't ready for my field of play. Have you ever visit the OTF here at KMC? Its great, especially when you have problems dealing with and responding to statements of fact. A lot of interesting conversation goes on in that room... you should check it out.

George Bush? I meant why does god not talk to people straight up.

And by the way, I don't think Bush is smart enough to know how to be evil. 😉
