black comics are racist all the time. It does get old when they do it over and over again but when used properly it's pretty damn funny. Chris rock is hilarious and his jokes are totally racist. I don't see too many white guys getting on stage with jokes against black people though.

When you go to a library and you look for books on race - you'll get books on black people, chinese, arabic...all kinds. But you will not have many books on white people.

When you look for sexuality you will get tons and tons and tons of books on homosexuality and bi sexuality and all other ones, but almost none on hetrosexuality.

White is also a colour, hetrosexuality is also a sexual orientation - the differance is that all these books are written by white hetrosexuals - because its easy to write about ''some other people'' then it is about yourself.

Racist jokes, if told by black or white people make NO differance - because (even though such thing as ''race'' doesnt exist in humans, since we are all biological the same) white is as much of a ''race'' as it is black or asian or any other.

Black comics poke fun at white people all the time.. but it's just not offensive to me. A joke is a joke in my eyes.. you can be outraged all you want if it's funny it's funny.

yeah, but the word 'honky' is alot less offensive than 'n*****'

or half the black jokes you hear out there?

Yeah lil but shouldn't we be able to laugh at one another? Why must me always be serious and pretend like we're all perfect. If a comedian can point out a certain groups traits in a funny way that is in good fun than I have no problem with it. There is a line between funny and offensive.. I think that if it turns into hate for another color/sexuality/whatever that it isn't funny anymore. But if you are going to tell me that I shouldn't laugh at Chris Rock or Dave Chappelle because that's the ignorant thing to do than I'm going to have to disagree..

Exactly! I for one think Chris Rock and Dave Chappelle are very comedic people. They use racial jokes and the crowd loves it!

I thought you were saying racist jokes are wrong. Christ Rock and Dave Chappelle tell totally racist jokes.. so I thought by that logic laughing at their jokes would also be wrong. If you weren't saying that.. my bad.

from reading what I've read, this is an opinionated argument, and there no way either of you will win, because you wont change each others opinion.

my opinion on the matter is if you take everything in life with a pinch of salt, everything becomes much more enjoyable and chilled out.

What I think is wrong is the attitude many people have. You laugh at whatever you want - freedom of speah, or laugh, whatever - racist jokes are still racist since they support and underline the very same thing racism is about.

I dunno... I can see where lil and omega are coming from but it just seems like some people get too touchy when it comes to comedy.
