If we allow gays to marry next will have pedophiles and people that commit incest using that same retarted excusse about how we should except itso you look at gays marring like you look at pedophiles.
marriage aint a forced union, well at least not in the western world, it is agreed uppon by both parts.

Afro Cheese the main point is that the christian faith does not promote hate and when followed correctly is productive to society. Because someone came along and pushed faith further along then it was before is not a bad thing. The people at the time where racing around worried about legalistic matters that they could never live up to. It was time for a savior to come. The years and years before jesus to me shows that it is impossible for man to live correctly and treat eachother with and respect without making folly. Let those things in the old testement be a message as to how much they needed someone like jesus. They did their best with the prophets and the like and they served their purpose at the time but it is my belief that they could never fill the shoes of the one they prophesized about who would come jesus. It is my belief he was the answer to confusion. Of course when you have gods spirit fully in a man he is going to teach differently than someone else. It is my belief there was a relationship between god and man in the old testement but one wich man failed constantly. It was time for god to come down as a man himself and get things straight so to speak is my belief.
So you're saying in the days of the old testament God's expectations of man were too high, so God came down as Jesus and set things straight? In that sense, God the omnipotent being who supposedly knows all was wrong. His expectations of man were unreasonable and that was where he was wrong. So he decided that only because man was incompetent to enforce the rules he had set, that homosexuals and other "sinners" shouldn't be put to death, and not because those people deserve the right to live? That seems pretty ****ed up to me. Besides, God's never supposed to be wrong seeing that he is omnipotent.

You just said that the person i accept teachings of is absurd. You are entitled to that opinion. I hold true he told the truth and i have the faith that he had the full spirit of god within him. Do you respect me for holding that belief?
Do I respect you? Yes. But do you actually respect me and other "sinners?" Or do you only respect our right to not believe in God. It's a question on whether or not you feel Christianity makes one a better person. If you feel that by following Jesus you are somehow by a better person than me, than you do not respect me. If you do not believe you're religion makes you better than me, than you admit that Christianity doesn't make one a better person.

he just hit the nail on the head. If a black man robs you while your walking down the street does that make all black men criminals? This is a individual person making a folly. many black men productive and good people. It would be falwed to think all black men are evil afterwards.
The same applys to christians. If a christian screams at you that you are going to hell does that make all christians hate filled bigots? This is a individual person making a folly . christians as a whole people are loving good people.
Yes pretty much. Besides did you know that over 60 percent of gay men were molested as boys?pretty much the same number as with catholic priests then😄. Well just like I draw equal lines between pedophiles and the chrisitans, they both opress their way uppon kids who has no choice in the matter
I would like to see were you got that statistic from cause that aint the situation where I live

I don't no were your getting some of those ideas from my friend. It is the christian belief we are all "sinners" including me to such a great extent i could probably be judged to death 50 times over from the old testement. God loves us and wants us to thrive. Jesus didn't say well even though i should kill you i know that you can't really help yourself so i will let you live, no rather he showed "sinners" much love. This went out to everyone not just a specific few.
And if anything seems "messed up" to you like i have said many times that is your perogitive not to be christian. I am not trying to convert you.

i respect you afro cheese and i don't think i am better than you at all. My spirituallity is very important to me and thats the way i like to live my life.

Ok yes.. religion doesn't cause problems on it's own, but it provides motivation and often justification for people to cause those problems. Just like guns don't kill people, people kill people. But guns give people the means to kill people. (cheese)
.....................................................................................................
Is it safe to say that your implying christianity gives motivation to cause problems? Jesus said himself" put up again thy sword into his place: for all that take the sword shall perish by the sword." this is speaking up heavily against violence. If you are following jesus' teachings you will not be lead into violence.
But sadly through history you can see people manipulate religeon for their own benefit. But these are not examples of the religeon persuading people to kill or giving justification but rather people twisting the religeon into a means to kill. That is in direct conflict considering how clear the teachinsg are NOT to cause conflict

If God set the rule that homosexuals must be put to death and then Jesus later came and said that sinners must be shown love then one of them has to be wrong because they are the complete opposite of eachother. Either God was wrong in declaring homosexuals must be put to death in the first place, or Jesus was wrong for trying to change God's rules. It sounded to me like you were saying that God's rules in the first place were unfit for humanity because humans couldn't live up to those rules, so Jesus came down and put an end to the confusion. That would mean that God was wrong in making the rules too strict for humans to reasonably follow in the first place. Do you see what I'm saying?
And if anything seems "messed up" to you like i have said many times that is your perogitive not to be christian. I am not trying to convert you.

yes A4E it is very fire and brimstone in that book. If i am not mistaken the same chapter says something about eating a "unclean animal" is a abomination to your soul.
On the otherhand jesus said its not what you put into your mouth that makes you unclean but what comes out of your mouth and whats in your heart that makes you unclean.
I tend to stick with jesus' teachings. thats just me though 😄
