Why must everyone critize christians for there faith

Ok.. let me try to explain if you don't get where I'm coming from. If God set the rule that homosexuals must be put to death and then Jesus later came and said that sinners must be shown love then one of them has to be wrong because they are the complete opposite of eachother. Either God was wrong in declaring homosexuals must be put to death in the first place, or Jesus was wrong for trying to change God's rules. It sounded to me like you were saying that God's rules in the first place were unfit for humanity because humans couldn't live up to those rules, so Jesus came down and put an end to the confusion. That would mean that God was wrong in making the rules too strict for humans to reasonably follow in the first place. Do you see what I'm saying?

..........................................................................
Its not neccassarily saying that god was wrong in making rules too strict, maybe it means that people have no possible way to reach gods standards that to are fair in the eyes of a almighty god. But god knew that we cannot hold onto that burden and its impossible for everyone to follow his standards by themselves. Like for instance how many things are puishable by death in the old testement? People cannot possibley thrive on that as we cannot hold to all of those standards and people make mistakes. So, according to my faith, he came to earth as jesus and made a sacrafice for us that we may walk with him. He fused himself with man in a sense in becoming a man. So he could lead us out of the confusion and hatred. So in coming to earth as man he taught people that they could not thrive on the abundance of laws that were set before and that now he was laying a knew way for them so they could follow him into love and peace without the shackles of legalism.
This is my faith that this is all in gods timing. I cannot and will not try to fathom everything god decides and his ways and nature and designs that i belive are so far beyond my own. I am only thankfull that a god that is so far beyond me even so decided on sacrafising for me so i can follow his teachings through jesus christ. That is me. So he had it set up, because of his incredibley high standards, to have all these massive amount of laws, then since we cannot meet gods standards, fused his spirit into a man and led a knew path on how to thrive and prosper and to sacrafice himself as man that we can. It is not a confrontation between god and jesus. It is a progression. To me its a miracle.
So yes i understand your point afro cheese and i respect your use of logic. These things i have talked about are my own personal beliefs and something i have come to my own to understand as truth.
......................................................................................................
Then you and I have "no beef," as the rap community would say.
......................................................................................................
didn't tupac sing "i ain't mad at ya"
well i ain't mad at ya 😄
this whole post i have never thought of us having a beef afro cheese.

here on response to wether i think homosexuality is wrong or not A4E. This was something i posted much ealier in the thread.

((((I have a bisexual female friend who, from my understanding, has had "christian" friends find out she was bisexual and then ignore her afterwards. That is not christian love. She knowing i was a christian asked if i judged her for being gay at some point. I told her it is my belief that sex outside of marriage is a sin and to be with someone of the same gender is a sin, but i also told her i love her as a friend and to judge her for that would be putting myself higher than she is and that i am not.
I believe in my faith 100 percent. The teachings i read from by christ i believe in 100 percent. If you don't believe in the same thing i respect that and i respect your free will.))))))

right...

well my faith tells me that the bible has been "updated" more than once... i really dont think that6 if there is a god he/she would say that homosexuality is a sin...

If people were unable to live up to God's standards wouldn't that imply the rules he set were too strict? If God was perfect he would've known from the beginning that his rules would not work on mankind and would've never expected man to live up to those standards. You believe that God and Jesus were the same thing except Jesus was the human version of God? That would mean that God actually changed his mind. At first he said to kill sinners and then he changed his mind and came down as Jesus and said show sinners love. If God was perfect he would never have to change his mind, he'd be right from the beginning. What I can conclude form this is either: God is not omnipotent and not a perfect being, God still feels we should kill homosexuals, or the Bible was written by man and man eventually changed his mind on what God would want.

ok edon'T get me wrong on that but Chrisatiqans are just weird and their religion sucks balls. I mean I don't juddge them as worse humans or anything they just don'T appeal to me. And since I have a different opinion I state it, and since I like to argue I do that maybe sometimes too, so well if you can'tr deal with that critic not my problem, if someone tells me its stupid to be an agnostic and how stupid I have to be to be one and how great god is I can take that critic and I surely don't take it too personal. So ****ING DEAL WITH IT

I am not going to reveal all of the secrets of the bible for you cheese. Like i said in the other post I can not fathom the ways of god and what his plans are exactly. I can tell you what i know and what i believe that is all.
there are many good questions of the christian faith.
That is the truth.
Christianity has also affected many lives in a very positive manner. It has turned peoples lives around in a completley great direction. It has gotten people to quit drugs, it has gotten people to see things differently and change there lives in a positive manor. It teaches to give to society and love your brother.
Why would you wish to bash on somebody that believes there own way in a free society. Why go out of your way to smear a faith that believes that everyone is loved by god and people should live in piece.
"christians are weird and and their religeon, " I quote, "sucks balls."
What would you say if someone said gay men are sickos and i hope they get aids. What would your response be? Your response would be anger would it not? Because its wrong to be so hatefull about otehr people. And if in that example why woudn't you feel the same way about someone bashing someones religeon in such a way.
YOU DON"T NEED TO BELIEVE. Its freedom of choice. But why bash and critisize and go out of your way to say hatefull things about other peoples beliefs, especially ones that bring meaning and peace to their lives.
If you don't want to believe that is fine. But the same tolerance you say christians should have, why don't you show the same kind of tolerance to them.

Jesus is supposed to be part of God but not exactly God. Some people did follow his rules according to the bible but eventually he decided to send a human version of christ down to help people.

How does changing your mind affect whether or not you are perfect? God was punishing sinners, not saintly people who were followers.

I wouldn'T feel anger if someone said that aboot gay opeople I would have a different opinion and surely think the guy has some serious problems but people do it , so what. Oh there is a slight difference by the way that I state I think their religion sucks (I admit it was rather offensive) and someone saying someone should die (that kind of is what aids is even though I heard people nowadays have a really long life expectancy with it). And of course some of the teachings in christianity are great but many of the people that follow that religion are narrow minded assholes. And I don'T have any problems with the normal christian type I think they are sterange but I wouldn'T bash them its aboot the crazy gay hating type I am talking.

To clickclick: How does him changing his mind mean he's not perfect? Because if he changed his mind that means his first decision was incorrect or at least in need of reconsideration. If he was perfect he would've known that was the wrong way to go in the beginning. He ordered all homosexuals to be put to death. I don't get how you could justify that. It doesn't matter if it was now or then, it was never ok to kill people for something like that.

To moviejunkie: I am not "bashing" anyone.. simply questioning the logic behind Christianity. If you don't want to defend it then don't. Religion forums are for discussing and in many cases challenging beliefs. I'm sorry but if you don't like Christian views being in question maybe you should ignore this section of the website, because it's gonna happen.

:i don;t have problems with " "I woudn't bash them"
Then we don't have a conflict of ideas in that area. What this post was titled was "why must everyone critisize christians for their faith."
I began to read it and some of the more exterem people were painting a picture as if Nazi's and Christians are the same thing. That is a ludicrist idea and there is no reason to be that hatefull to people of the christian faith.

Some of you christians are nearly like nazis not all but some. And those I thionk should be bashed.

the title of this post is
"why must people critisize christians for their faith"
The discussion is why people seem to like to pick on the christian poplulace. We are not talking about why you are not a christian.
so you go in to a "why must people critisize christians for their faith" and then begin to state all the reasons you have for critisizing the faith.
The question here is why. Not what are all the reasons you don't belive in christianity.
You have stated that you belive it is "absurd". that is your perogitive. But why do you feel it your cause to go out of your way to tell a christian they are absurd. If you have that thought it is fine, but why critisize a people for being bigoted when in the next breath you will call someone of a differnt belief "absurd".

The majority of Christians are normal people. Thing is, normal people never draw attention so people only seem to remember the crazy ones.

How can everyone bash Christians when pretty much everyone is Christian. We must hate ourselves. And Afrocheese is right. The crazy ones are far more entertaining than the normal ones

tell me what sort of christian should be bashed Bardock. Give me a detailed description of a christian that should be bashed.
Don't give me a example of someone who is not following the teachings of christ. Following jesus teachings and living in his way is what constitutes a christian. Give me an example of someone who follows the teachings of christ that should be bashed.

Unfortunately its a fact of life it seems, that the whole barrel of apples is spoiled by a few rotten ones. Or that everyone is tarred with the same brush. While not all Christians are bigoted, or like Nazi's or whatever, there are some who are, and people see that negative stuff, and Christians as a whole might be criticized. Just like all the stuff about Child abuse. While I am sure the majority of Christians are not to blame, people see the bad side. No body notices Christians when they are being unobtrusive, and just going about things in a quite manner, they are noticed when in the news for negative things, or in history burning witches or starting Crusades....

there are crazy people in all ethnic backgrounds and all religeos backgrounds.
Christianity is not a exception because it consists of people.

Someone that absolutelya follows the teachings of christ (doesn'T exist) shouldn'T be bashed.
Nor should anyone else actually but people that claim to do stuff in the name of god that is well not commonly accepted are just not people that are too cool you know.
I don't actually think bashing is good in any way.

How can everyone bash Christians when pretty much everyone is Christian. We must hate ourselves.

Depends how you mean Christian. A sort of default setting - where by we inherit the religion of our parents? Perhaps then, but I don't see a person really as a Christian unless they actual believe in it. It doesn't seem right to label people.

I called Jesus believing he is the son of God "absurd." I haven't called anyone in here any names so don't try to make it look like I have. I find Christians believing him to be the Son of God less absurd than Jesus's initial belief. It's pretty much to norm to believe that these days so it's understandable. But I don't see how he could've possibly believed he was really the son of God (assuming that he wasn't).

I don't know how this conversation led to the point that it did, cause it did get off topic. I believe it was people bringing up the homophobia in the bible then I quoted that verse, than you said Jesus taught otherwise and then we got into this discussion. I don't think Christians should be bashed.. I try not to bash anyone. I'm not perfect though.
