Me and the other 2.1 billion christians in the world? Oh, sorry you said "1" person, my bad.

Eureka! I finally figured out what the problem is: semantics. I (let me use my very best, scholary, grammar) AIN'T never said that anyone was going to Hell for not believing in my faith (my personal faith). But I have simply reported as it were what the Bible says "on" the subject. Big, Grand Canyon-size difference. No? No?

No, they have their own personal faith and it serves them individually, I'm sure it isn't an exact duplicate of yours.

Haha, trying to say I am stupid again, go ahead, but I am using your own words against you; so technically, you are contradicting and arguing against yourself. AND I BEG TO DIFFER! You have said people are going to hell. You try and pass off your own personal beliefs as facts, John 14:6 as an example. If someone does not believe in Jesus as their savior, there is no path to God for them, hence they will not be saved. Are you telling me now that you just quote the Bible but do not really believe what is says as being undeniable truths?

Get this Robtard: I didn't say that, the Bible says that. Did you get it? Stop confusing what I say with what the Bible says. I am just reporting what the Bible says. Read my lips: I absolutely, positively, unequivocally, undoubtedly, and unwaveringly believe what the Bible says. Yes, the truths contained in the Bible are without a doubt undeniable Truths. God's Word is forever settled in Heaven.

But you are passing it off as a truth, as a fact and as a undeniable certainty, if you could prove this beyond a shadow of a doubt then sure, but you can't, so same difference pal.

Im not even sure if you understand the Bible. Actually alot of stories in the Bible are not to be taken literally, they are stories to help explain important concepts.

The story of Adam and Eve is about Duality. There were not literally naked people running around in a garden. The story is trying to explain why people suffer, people suffer ultimately because of duality. They percieve hot and cold, ugly and beautiful, dark and light when everything is supposed to be one and there are no opposites.

Paradise is a state of mind a state of unification. Even if the Bible was the word of God are you sure you understand it?

WEll said.

but somehow i think that flew over his simple copy and pasting mind.

Of course hes not going to isten to me, but I think I made a very good point. Eventhough im not Christian I think the Bible has alot of good in it if you do not take it literally and know when to avoid the crap.

actually thats how all religious scripture should be viewed as, Not the literal stories, but how they can be applied to our lives in an ever changing world. Its the principle that people should be looking at, not the actual word.

My response is to these and the other similar posts surrounding it.

IMO, no one can make statements as to how things should or should not be taken. From a religious perspective, there is no reason to not believe there were a couple of naked people running around the Garden. Interpretation is interpretation, there won't be a definitive stance on the method of interpretation until God states one way or the other concerning it. While I disagree with JIA on many points, his view is a valid view. Literal or metaphorical, there is only opinion as to how it should or should not be taken. Stating absolutes shows arrogance and probable error when absolutes are unavailable.

None of you has any more concrete support than JIA has, and while I believe he is wrong about many things, I also believe it is possible he is not. His manner of behavior is just as arrogant, he just comes across more offensive than many. This does not impact whether his view or yours is accurate, only the level of persuasion available in the given statements.

Sometimes, maybe it is the principle that people should be looking at, not the actual word. But also, maybe it is the actual word that people should be looking at, not the principle. The Bible doesn't state definitively on the subject.

*sigh* common sense. Also JIA only knows the Bible. I used to be like him but I got this way by reading other sources.

Yes...but more correctly...JIA only knows one interpretation of the one bible.

We are not questioning how much you beleive. You've made it crystal clear that you percieve the Bible as absolute Truth. That's fine. ✅

However....

Your mission is to convince us that the Bible is absolute Truth, is it not ? How do you plan to do that ? By supplying Biblical quotes ? How do you expect us to take them seriously, when you already know most of us do not beleive the Bible as truth....

If you have no way to prove the Bible is Truth, then stop wasting your time. Your personal mission isn't working. ❌

If you DO have proof that the Bible is Truth, then I would love for you to show me. ✅ Otherwise, your wasting your time and just making many of us laugh.

He is afraid to look at other view points. You know, if I have read all those Chick tracks, I would be afraid too.

I've read them. I'm afraid for the lives of billions of non-evangelicals.
