I am not going to argue who's website is right and who's is wrong. They both have done great jobs of supporting their theories.I have had these converstations before... with some of the most briliant minds in the country. The engineers I work with are some of the brightests around. Well educated, most having their PHD... and they can tear apart either side... but they usually tend to support ST more than SW. I know that does not mean much to you cause you were not there...

Second, I think it's worth noting that Wong's a clearly more reliable source than Graham. And while you may have partners or friends who are educated and agree with the ST side of things, but the only thing that's going to convince me and other SW supporters is cold hard evidence. Swanky Tuna's approach is to nitpick the SW side (With an overwhelming lack of knowledge of it) and argue just one side of things. He totally overlooks the idea of number and military superiority. This is no way to win an argument. Likewise, your earlier claim that ST tech is more realistic doesn't change a thing. If we can't argue from objective evidence we have on hand, we can't argue at all. The figures ARE drastic, but to his credit, Wong does show how this is actually the case. And he uses real science, image captures from the movies, and canon sources for BOTH sides. Though he is typically not fond of Trek, he does know a LOT about it, and makes good observations on both sides. He also looks at all aspects of the fight, from navy tactics, technology, people, infantry, etc.
He also shows how Graham has made some strong assumptions that tend to unravel on him, and his figures are skewed. While you could argue that one or both sites are biased, I give Wong the credit here. And I imagine if you were to read his site in its entirety (As I have done) you might see just how accurate his calculations and observations really are.

Thanks for the politness... its much appreciated and keeps things tollerable. (my spelling sucks) Your like the first person that I have confronted in here that actually wants to use facts, science, math, and actual proof to support their side... Before you it was all SW wins cause we have NJO luke or something dumb like that. Swanky and I have posted our sides on here many many times and his arguments are usually good. Heck, even I fall into the banter that flies back and forth sometimes.
While the people I work with are very smart, they have not sat down and taken screen captures and all that... I will go through and read Wongs site, cause I really have not done that. Actually looking forward to it.
Have you ever, as a kid, played with two toys and had them fight each other but you didnt want either of them to loose cause you liked them both? Here is were my dilema comes in...
I grew up in the SW era, but I grew up WITH Star Trek cause all I had to do was turn the TV on and there was new ST all the time. I love them both, and I dont want either side to loose. Which is why I wrote the short stories that I did...
I have found them... and I am going to post them again, here... Give them a read and I think you will see more of what I would want out of the VS.

When Galaxies Collide
Part 1 – A Rip in Time and Space
USS Enterprise discovers a rift in space. As they move in to investigate there is a huge flash of light and everything changes.
Picard - “Data, what just happened?”
Data – “Unknown Sir, Long range sensors are detecting no recognizable star systems.”
Picard – “Open a channel to Star Fleet”
Worf – “Sir, we are picking up massive subspace communications from just about every ship in the fleet… SIR. Romulan Warbird decloaking off the starboard bow!”
Romulans – “Captain Picard. It seems we are all in the same predicament. I don’t suppose this is some new Star Fleet weapon?”
Picard – “I assure you Captain that we are just as lost as you.”
Worf – “Sir we are picking up fleets of ships, both Romulan and Klingon, decloaking all across this sector. We are also detecting ships of all kinds, Ferengi, Vulcan, Tholian, Andorian, Dominion, Kazon, even Borg… and that’s just to name a few.”
Picard – “Romulan Captain, I would suggest that we start organizing this situation before things escalate out of control.”
Romulans – “Agreed Captain. I will start contacting my people and organize our fleet. We will be in touch.”
Picard – “I will do the same. Good Luck Captain.”
Hours Later
Romulans – “Captain Picard… It seems that our entire fleet… All of the Romulan ships ever build have been summoned here some how.”
Picard – “It seems the Federation has suffered the same. We have ships here that have been out of commission for over a hundred years… Even longer.”
Worf – “Captain… Unknown ship approaching at increadable speed.”
Picard – “Romulan Captain… It seems we have a visitor. May I?”
Romulans – “The Federation has always been the most diplomatic. You might as well.”
Picard – “Set an intercept course and open hailing frequencies.”
At that moment a Calimarian cruiser comes out of hyperspace followed by thousands of ships of all kinds.
Admiral Akabar – “Shields up! Tactical… What am I looking at?”
Tactical – “unknown Sir. We have never seen ships of this configuration before.”
Akabar – “Open a hailing frequency.”
Comm – “Sir, they are already hailing us. Channel Open.”
The two ship commanders stand in their bridges looking at eachother.
Picard – “My name is Jean Luc Picard. Captain of the Federation Star Ship Enterprise. First I must say that we have no hostile intent, but I can not explain how or why all of these ships are here.”
Akabar – “Greetings Captain Picard. I am Admiral Akabar. Fleet commander for the New Republic Navy. We too can not explain why all of our ships are here.”
Picard – “You don’t know where you are?”
Akabar – “We just assumed this was your galaxy.”
Picard – “Well it seems that we both have been pulled here against our will.”
Akabar – “Captain… If you have been pulled here, and we have been pulled here then I must assume that our greatest enemy, the Imperial Empire, has also been pulled here. I can not warn you of the threat they posses.”
Picard – “Admiral… All of our enemies, as well as all of our allies have been pulled here too. We have managed to enact a farley stable cease fire but this situation grows more volatile at each passing moment. I am sending out a communications to our fleet asking them to send delegates to join us. I think we should meet to discuss this situation.”
Akabar – “Agreed Captain. There is a planet that we can meet on. Here are the coordinates.”
Picard – “I look forward to meeting you in person Admiral.”
Akabar – “As do I captain. Akabar out.”
Picard – “Well number one… It looks like our mission to explore new worlds has been expanded to new galaxies. Worf, send the communications to all the fleets and relay the coordinates. Contact Admiral Dowerty and begin setting up security for this meeting. We don’t want the Borg or anyone else to get any ideas.”
Planet Side – One Hour Later
Akabar – “Your Highness. Its good to see you. Han, Luke.”
Leia – “Its good to see you too Admiral. It seems that time has no relevance in this place. There are ships and people here that have been dead for hundreds, even thousands of years. I would like you to meet Luke Skywalkers Master… Master Yoda, and this is Jedi Master Windu.”
Akabar – “I can not expain it but it is good to have the wisdom of the Master Jedi.”
Yoda – “Answers we seek. Hard to find they will be. Our new friends it will be good to meet.”
Windu – “There is still the Empire that we need to discuss. They have not shown themselves yet but we can feel them. We know they are here.”
Akabar – “Captain Picard should be here soon.”
Moments Later… Transporter signatures begin to energize and materialize. The solidified figure of Captain Picard moves to greet Admiral Akabar.
Picard – “Admiral! It is good to meet you in person.”
Akabar – “Amazing technology Captain. No ships or shuttles needed! It is good to finally meet you as well Captain.”
Picard – “The Federation I come from is an alliance of explorers. That is our main mission, to seek out new life and new civilizations. I never dreamed of anything like this.”
Akabar – “Captain. I would like you to meet Senator Organa Solo, her husband Han, and Jedi Master Luke Skywalker, Master Yoda, and Master Mace Windu.”
Picard – “It is an honor. Admiral, with your permission I would like to send the signal to our fleet to send down their representatives.”
Akabar looks to the Jedi Masters… They nod their permission.
Akabar – “Very Well Captain.”
Captain Picard taps his communicator and relays the order for the delegates to beem down. Picard is soon joined by delegates from over 20 different races.
Hours of talks ensue. Discussions about the differences in races, species, technologies, and of the current situation fill the air. SUDDENLY!!!!

Picard – “Q… I should have known that you would be involved in this…”
Q – “Ah sorry El Capitan but I had nothing to do with this this time. I am mearly hear as a messenger.”
Picard – “Admiral… I apologize for this. This entity, Q, has been a trouble maker in our galaxy…”
Akabar – “Captain. It is alright. Apparently he has been making trouble in more than one galaxy.”
Picard – “You know Q?”
Akabar – “Yes Captain. Although I have kept his existence secret as much as possible. In my experience he is worse than the dark lords of the Sith.”
Q – “Oh come now dear Admiral… Such harsh words.”
Picard – “Q if you can fix this then do it! We do not belong here… None of us do.”
Q – “Picard… So narrow minded. I am hear as a messenger. A power greater than my own has brought you all here. They are interested to see how you all will, oh how should I say it… Get along. Your two universes were created very differently but the parallels are great. The Jedi from your universe, Admiral, are much like the Telepaths of your world Picard. There are differences but we are talking generals here… Here in this place, created by the one who has sent me, your scales have been leveled… Instead of having ships that put out power on two different scales they are now the same… Captain it was like your universe was using millimeters as a scale while the Admirals Universe was using Inches… But now a gigawatt for your Admiral is the same as a gigawatt for you Captain. I cant do anything else for you… and I can not give you any more info… All I can say is… The game is afoot!”
With a flash, Q disappears… Moments later hails came in from both sides.
Worf – “Captain! A massive fleet has just come out of hyperspace. Three planets have come with it!”
Admiral Akabars Comm Officer – “Admiral, Imperial Fleet has just come out of hyperspace. Three Death Stars have come with the fleet. More ships are appearing on all fronts. Ours, the Federation side, and the Empire…”
Akabar – “Red Alert! Shields to maximum. I am returning to the ship now.”
Picard – “Red Alert! Send a message to the fleet and beam us up. All hands to battle stations!”

Part 2 - Engage
Picard – “Status report number one.”
Riker – “The Imperial fleet is still coming out of hyperspace… The good thing… so is ours. According to the technical data that Admiral Akabar sent us its going to be one hell of a tough fight.”
Worf – “Due to the size of their ships we are going to have to set three to four of our ships per attack group. Their fighter squadrons will be a problem too. They will out number us by at lest four to one. Our main advantage is our omni directional phaser capabilities.”
Data – “Our starbases are falling back to a more defensive position away from those Death Stars. My analysis of the Death Stars is not yet complete but the fire power they posses puts us at a sever disadvantage. We have nothing that can repel fire of that magnitude.”
Riker – “I have been working on that idea Sir. She has revealed herself to the fleet but the Pegasus is here, and her phased cloaking devise is fully functional.”
Picard – “If what Akabar tells me is correct, the Empire have soldiers called Sith. They are a combination of telepaths with telekinetics. They use what they call the Force, an energy that flows threw their universe to give them strength… They will know we are coming. Worf, open a tactical coordination channel with Admiral Akabars ship.”
Worf – “Channel open Sir.”
Picard – “Admiral… We have an idea that utilizes some of our technology but we are going to need your help.” Picard explains Rikers plan…
Yoda- “The help of Jedi you will need. A group task force of jedi I have assembled for your idea. Rendezvous with our ship you will to pick up this taskforce.”
Picard – “Thank you Master Yoda. Prepare your team for transport.”
Riker – “Sir, I would like to command this mission.”
Picard – “I knew you would my friend. Prepare for transport and I will see you soon.”
Riker – “Yes Sir.”
The New Republic fleet maneuvered to a tactical position with the Federation fleet of starships. Several of the Star Trek races began to fall back… The Ferengi lead the withdraw as they cowered away from a fight. Many of the Starfleet brass managed to forge a joint alliance with once enemies in hopes that their combined forces might carry them through this great event.
Worf – “Captain… You have to see this! On Screen!”
The captain watched as the thousands of Borg ships began to move in on each other. They began to move as one as ship by ship they were joined together. Within minutes their mass was almost half the size of a Death Star and continued to grow.
Picard – “My god. Are they with us or against us.”
Worf – “The Borg did not declare any side. They continued to repeat resistance is futile and then cut their transmission when the Imperial Fleet arrived.”
Data – “Sir, the Borg sphere is moving out of the fleet. They are on an intercept course with Death Star 3.”
Picard – “They are entering the engagement before our fleets are ready.”
Akabar – “Captain. These Borg… Can they be trusted?”
Picard – “Not at all Admiral. But the Borg are set on conquest. They desire to assimilate all life into their collective. They probably assessed the Imperial Fleet as the greatest threat and plan to conquer them first before they turn on us.”
Akabar – “Our Jedi are ready to begin their battle meditation. This will aid us in our fight. Keep your ships moving Captain. The Death Stars will not be able to target them. Your lines must hold. If your task forces break apart they will be finished.”
Picard – “Thanks for the warning Admiral. God Speed.”
Akabar – “May the Force be with you. LAUNCH THE ATTACK!”
The Federation and Republic fleets accelerated forward as the ships poured our fighters and shuttles as fast as the docking bays would allow. While the Federation did not design their fleets for small fighter combat they were still prepared for the unknown. Shuttle after shuttle launched from the star ships. Runabouts launched from the star bases and deep space stations. Small starship fighters flew forward from the Star Trek ships as race after race poured out their fighters.
Every available fighter launched from the bays of the Admirals fleet of capital ships. Every raced ever aligned against the Empire launched ship after ship to face the Imperial Navy. Calamari cruisers, Cracken class attack cruisers, escorts, frigates, gun ships… Everything that had weapons mounted on it flew forward to press the attack.
The fighters engaged before the heavy ships reached combat distance. The horizon of space light up with explosions. XWings slipped and weaved in and out of combat as they engaged tie after tie after tie. An unending wave of Tie fighters swarmed over the Federation and New Republic ships. The unshielded eyeball style Tie fighters were easily dispatched by the federation fighters as they weaved in and out. Targeting systems of all race of ships were over loaded with enemy contacts. The omni directional phaser fire of the shuttles and fighters made it easy to switch from target to target usually hitting two to three targets with each pass. Micro torpedoes impacted with the heavier Imperial fighters knocking them off course as their wing men finished them off.
Tie fighters swarmed over the Federation and Republic fighters. Six Ties zeroed in on a shuttle as it made a strafing run. Green blaster bolts light the shuttles shields like a morning sky. Blue electricity began to flow over the shields as they began to buckle from the massive energy bombardment. Green bolds blasted through the shuttles shields and ignited the shuttle into a huge ball of flame. For every Tie fighter that fell to the New Republic and Federation fighters was replaced by a dozen more. Soon the sheer number of Tie fighters blacked out the stars across space.
Picard – “Admiral… We need to get our smaller escort ships in there to provide some heavy fire for our fighters. We are sending in our steamboat and defiant class ships as well as Dominion Attack Ships, Bajoran Assault Vessels, Kazon Raiders, and Krenim Patrolships.”
Akabar – “Very Well Captain. We will send in our blockade runners and escort ships.”
Another surge of ships left the bulk of the fleet as thousands of ships raced into combat. Tie fighers disengaged from the dog fighting to combine their attacks against the larger ships that just entered the combat. Several of the new ships erupted into balls of fire as the barrage of laser fire was to much for their shields. Phase fire erupted into space as Tie after Tie fell prey to the massive barrage.
An entire fleet of Star Destroyers finally reached the front line of combat. Turbo laser fire eat through the shields of the federation ships faster then they could react. One defiant class starship impacted the shields of the lead super star destroyer and shook violently as hull plating was ripped apart from the impact to the energy field. The ship spiraled out of control as it impacted the command tower. The superstructure of the super star destroyer began to burn as oxygen vented from the crippled ship.
Suddenly one of the Death Stars erupted into a massive fireball that enveloped several of the Imperial ships.
Picard – “WILL!”
Worf – “Recieveing a signal from the Pegasus Sir.”
Picard – “Thanks God. Admiral Akabar, I believe now is the time.”
Akabar – “All ships ENGAGE the enemy. Move to point blank range. Don’t let the Death Star get a lock on you. Full attack!”

Part 3 – Resistance is Futile
The darkness of space sparkled with the brilliance of warp cores exploding and reactors going critical as the forces of good an evil clashed. Without warning a brilliant green energy beam erupted from each of the remaining Death Stars. The massive energy beams cut through the lines of ships disintegrating everything in its path. Each beam instantly incinerated three Federation ships along with several Republic cruisers.
Small fighters darted in and out of the massive superstructures of the capital ships while turbo laser fire and phaser blasts incinerated everything they came into contact with.
Worf – “Captain… On screen.”
Captain Picard and Admiral Akabar watched as the massive Borg sphere approached Death Star number 2. The Death Star rotated and fired a shot from its massive planet killing weapon. The beam pierced the massive hull of the Borg Sphere and vaporized over 40% of the Borg vessel. Moments later the remains of the Borg Sphere seemed to shatter as the thousands of smaller Borg Cube ships that had merged for form the sphere separated from each other and swarmed on the Death Star. The Death Star seemed to grow in size as ship after Borg ship attached themselves to the Imperial fortress. In moments you could see Borg technology growing over the hull of the Death Star.
Picard – “Admiral… If the Borg assimilate that Death Star they will be unstoppable. We must destroy that station!”
Akabar – “We have a squadron of ships navigating to its core as we speak Captain. If they fail you may have to use the Pegasus again.”
Riker – “Captain. I don’t know if the phased cloaking devise can withstand the energy of another explosion of that magnitude, But we are ready if we are needed.”
Moments later the second Death Star ripped apart from the inside by a massive explosion. Two thirds of the massive sphere was destroyed leaving a burning wreck of hull floating in space. Suddenly thousands of Borg vessels started exploding taking Federation, Republic, and Imperial ships with them.
Data – “The massive destruction of such a high number of Borg must have disrupted their collective. This disruption must have been enough to cause a catastrophic meltdown of the Borg consciousness causing their destruction.”
Worf – “They are not all gone sir. Sensors indicate over 700 Cubes still remaining. They must have restored their collective before it could affect them.”
Akabar – “We can deal with them later. Our task force is about to press into the core of the Imperial fleet.”
Picard – “Copy that Admiral. We are right behind you.”
Energy surged through the engines of the massive capital ships as they plowed into the heart of the Imperial fleet. Massive barrages of turbo lasers scored hits on the hulls and ripped molten armor from them. Federation ships weaved in and out of the Imperials scoring hit after hit from their phasers and torpedos. The Federation shields did not last long under the barrage of turbo laser fire and soon the nimble ships were scorged flaming hulks colliding into both friend and foe.
More ships pored into the fray as other were destroyed. Navigation became dangerous as the burning hulks of the destroyed ships littered the battlefield. The Imperials began to close in and without warning hundreds of Federation ships lost control and began to tumble through space. The Imperials has maneuvered their Interdictator Star Destroyers into range and activated their gravity wells which did not react well with the Federations warp cores. Taking advantage of the situation the Empire let loose with everything they had and watched as the Federation ships crumbled under their firepower.
Picard – “NO! All ships pull back. Regroup at the following coordinates and await my orders. Admiral!”
Akabar – “Captain… Pull your ships back. We will take out those Star Destroyers. That should get your fleet back in the fight.”
Worf – “Captain. Sensors indicate more ships coming out of hyperspace.”
Thousands more Imperial ships from all eras poured into the system and advanced on the Republic and Federation fleets.
Picard watched the view screen as the Interdictator Star Destroyers were turned into flaming balls of escaping gasses. They fell from the fight as if falling from orbit. More blasts shot out from the remaining Death Star as it tried to fend off the remaining Borg onslot.
Picard – “Worf open a channel. Klingon and Romulan Commanders. Now is the time.”
As the comm channel closed thousands of ships decloaked and began to move in. Akabar had obviously given a similar command. Moments later hundreds of Calamarian Captial ships, frigates, blockade runners, Cracken class attack cruisers, and gun ships of all sizes came out of hyperspace and headed for the center of combat.
Fighters, freighters, shuttles, and scout ships weaved in and out in a massive dogfight. Phases splitting Tie Fighters into burning balls of plasma, Imperial fighters blazed trailes through the Federation shuttles as their shields fizzled out under the shier volume of fire. Back and forth the two sides fought as the larger ships moved closer to the engagement.
Emergency klaxons sounded on many of the Federation ships as the security chiefs yelled… “BOARDING PARTIES!”

Part 4 - Boarding Parties
Aboard the U.S.S. Zuhkov, NCC-62136
Security Officer - “Captain. Enemy shuttles have latched on and breached out hull. Boarding parties have entered our ship.”
Captain – “Full security response. Lets show these boys the way off our ship. Set phasers to MAXIMUM!”
Storm Troopers poured into the ship showering the halls with blaster fire. Plums of smoke billowed from burning panels as the blaster fire ripped into the corridors. As team one filed out of their shuttle they lined the sides of the hall in anticipation of an enemy response. None came. Slowly the storm troopers began to look around, puzzled that they had met no enemy response. They peered through the smoke and slowly began to move forward. Their forward progress was suddenly stopped by the front troops bouncing into a security force field that had been energized the moment the hull was breached. The rest of the troops backed off as the forward troops placed charges around the corridor.
The corridor imploded as the Imperial charges ripped through the bulkheads and disabled the force shield. Phaser fire erupted from the far end of the hall as the Storm Troopers pressed forward. The front two troopers dropped limp as several blasts from phaser rifles impacted their armor plating. Orange red beams lanced forward from hand held phasers at the following Storm Troopers but merely glanced off their polished armor. Several more hand phasers joined the attack and the combined power was to much for the armor to withstand and blasted the trooper to his knees.
Imperial troops opened up once again with their blaster carbines. Super charged gas energy bolts reigned down on the Federation security forces cutting them to pieces as the troopers pressed forward. More phaser bolts pulsed out from phaser rifles and dropped trooper after trooper. Slowly the phaser bolts ceased as the Imperial blaster fire overwhelmed the small security details that charged to meet the challenge.
Minutes after boarding the six Imperial teams had rendezvoused and combined forces. After a short reorganization the boarding party split into three groups and headed off toward engineering, tactical, and the bridge. This ship was to be captured intact.
Security Chief – “Captain. They have taken out our security details. The few remaining security personnel between them and us is not going to be enough to even slow them down.”
Captain – “What about the security fields? Can we activate them along every corridor?”
Security Chief – “They already are Sir, but they are taking them out with some sort of explosive charges.”
Captain – “Very Well. Helm lock in a course for the nearest star base.”
Helm – “Course laid in Sir.”
Captain – “Engage at maximum impulse. Computer lockout all command and engineering functions, authorization Z01109.”
Computer – “All ship command functions locked out.”
Captain – “Computer, flood all decks with haloron gas. Authorization Z01109.”
Moments later haloron gas flooded the decks of the ship, knocking out any living creature.
Onboard the U.S.S. Niagara, NCC-58800
Security Chief – “Sir, the first group of Imperial Troops have entered the turbo shaft.”
Captain – “Computer, verify command function lockout.”
Computer – “Lockout Verified.”
Captain – “Defensive perimeter. Form up and take cover at bridge center. All weapons to full power. Hand phasers work as groups. Those of you with rifles lay down covering fire. Nobody takes my ship with me on the bridge.”
Without hesitation the bridge crew moved to the most covered position. In the momentary commotion the Captain tapped in several commands into his command chair and then took cover.
Seconds later the bridge doors parted to a hail of blaster fire. Before the Star Fleet officers could react three of them were laying on their backs with smoldering blaster marks on their chests. The bridge crew opened fire and slowed the Imperial troopers entry onto the bridge. In a flash of light a hand phaser exploded in the turbo shafts entryway. The remaining troopers fell to the deck dead.
Blaster fire erupted from behind them as troopers poured in from the conference room door. Partially stunned from the phaser explosion the bridge crew could not react in time. In seconds they were all dead.
Computer – “Command Alert! All command personnel life signs have been terminated. Initiating Auto Destruct sequence.”
Computer – “10…. 9…. 8…. 7…. 6…. 5…. 4…. 3…. 2…. 1….”
The ship lit up like a super nova as its warp core imploded on its self. The Imperial Forces had over run the ship… but had failed in its capture.
Onboard the U.S.S. Venture, NCC-71854
Captain – “I told you… Its standard procedure to dump our computer core if the ship is in imminent threat of being taken over.”
Imperial Captain – “You are telling me that if you get a little scared you dump your whole computer core! I find that hard to believe.”
Imperial Technician – “Captain, I have never seen a system like this before. It is going to take some time to break this encryption.”
Captain – “The greatest minds in Starfleet developed that code at four different locations so that each would not know what the other was doing. They combined the code and ran it through a unique complex algorithm for each ship in the fleet. No two codes are alike. It will take you years to decrypt that. By then you will be destroyed.”
Imperial Captain – “LT… Take this rebel scum back to the fleet. I am sure that Lord Vader would love to have a look into your mind.”
Back on the Enterprise, NCC 1701-E
Worf – “Sir, the Venture has initiated its capture protocol. The Imperials have it.”
Picard – “Can we intercept it?”
Worf – “Not without a sizable task force Sir. As soon as the Imperials had control they moved a Star Destroyer detachment to its location. We would not stand a chance.”
Picard – “Very well. Send the update to command. Data, Worf, start planning a rescue mission.”

NJO Luke VS. Star Trek Q
Q! We have told you that if you meddle in the dealings of lesser beings then you will be punished...
Q- But wait! I was only... POOOOOFFFFF
Q- Oh not again... Where am I now?
Luke- Where did you come from?
Q- Are you talking to me? Do you have any idea who I am? Why I should snap you out of existence just for speaking to me.
Luke- Well you are the one that appeared here in my Jedi temple.
Q- Your Jedi Temple? Well I should take it from you just cause I am Q! In fact, I am tired of you already. Good Bye!
SNAP - Luke dissapears into a great void of darkness. He closes his eyes and concentrates on the Force. He can feel it, pulling him. He pulls back as if attached to a rope. He feels himself draw near to a hole in the void. Suddenly... SNAP... He is back in his temple.
Q- You again! I Thought I got rid of you. This time it will be for good!
SNAP... SNAP... SNAP...
Q- Nothings happening...
Q notices Luke with a deep concentrating look on his face.
Luke- I have a hold onto the living Force. You can not take me anywhere I do not want to go.
Q- Fine. SNAP
The ceiling of the temple crumbles and reigns down on Luke with the force of a mountain. Q watches as the rubble breaks apart and fall away with the wave of Luke’s hand.
Luke- Why do you attack me? All I asked is who you are.
Q- I am Q the ALL POWERFUL and now you will die!
Q throws his arms toward Luke as if pushing a wall down on him. Luke stumbles backwards but does not fall. His years of Jedi training and combat have taught him to balance himself with the Force. Luke crouches and shoves his hands forward as if pushing Q. Q falls backwards and is hurled across the room and slams hard into the wall behind him.
Q- OWW... that hurt. You hurt me? How can you hurt me? They must have made me mortal with all my powers. FINE!
With the force of a thousand lighting storms huge white bolts fly from his hands toward Luke. Luke leaps out of the way of the first volley and lands square on his feet and catches the second volley with the Force and hurls it back toward Q. Q’s eyes grow wide as he tries to jump out of the way. If not for his powers he would have been vaporized by the returned blast.
Q snaps his fingers and a dozen of the most vicious, ravenous hounds appear and leap toward Luke.
Luke flicks his wrist and the hounds are repelled backwards and smashed into the wall. With a yelp the hounds hit the floor and are still.
Again Q snaps his fingers and stone after stone fly threw the air toward Luke. Using the Force Luke reaches out and deflects most of the stones. Several slip past his Force grip and slam him center torso. Luke falls to the ground as Q stands triumphant. Suddenly thousands of tiny pebbles pelt the once godlike entity tearing flesh away from bone as his body is sand blasted.
Another snap of his fingers and Q vanishes and reappears out of the line of fire and no longer bleeding.
Luke reaches up with is hands and makes a breaking motion as Q falls to his knees, arms limp at his sides, broken and shattered from Luke’s Force grip.
Q- Fool! I don’t need my fingers. That’s just for affect.
Q again vanishes but suddenly re-appears flying through the air, backwards and slams into another wall. Q slumps to the ground and holds himself with his newly fixed arms.
Luke- “The Force is everywhere Q. Even during your teleporting I can find you. The Force leads me to you.
Q leaps up and with a flash transforms himself into a warrior never before seen by Luke. This creature was humanoid with a dark complexion, long hair on a boney forehead, plated in a suit of armor. He now wielded a four pointed blade that he swung wildly at Luke.
Luke parried and pulled his light saber from his belt using the force. In less than a second his blade was in his hand and ignited. Q stood and stared at Luke’s blade and back at his. Q smiled and gave a huff under his breath. Suddenly his four pointed blade ignited in a glowing white electric energy. The two lunged at each other swinging high and low as they each deflected the others blows. Luke used the Force to hurl objects at Q but Q merely extended the glowing electricity around him and the objects bounced harmlessly off. Q returned the favor by collapsing another part of the ceiling. With a blur Luke Force Ran to the opposite side of the room, around to the other side, and then in to strike. Q dodged the first but caught part of Luke’s blade on his hip. The flesh sizzled with pain as Q stumbled to the ground. Luke Force leapt into the air over Q and hurled his light saber toward his opponent. The blade hissed as it sunk deep into Q’s chest and emerged from his back. Q sat on his knees staring at the blade that had sunk into his chest in amazement. Luke, using the force pulled the blade out, shut it off, and hung it back on his belt.
Q- “Oh My…” Q said as he slumped over…
Suddenly with a shimmering he was gone. Luke new that he was not dead and would be back another day.

I do enjoy them both as well. It's not like I'm some bitter trekkie that has it in for Star Wars. I watched the movies when I was like 6 or 7 and I liked them then, although I didn't understand most of it, and I like them now.
But it is now that I notice some of the weird things about the Star Wars movies. How did they destroy that probe in ESB? Did they shoot it? How did it survive re-entry but then go down to a bowcaster or whatever?

You're welcome. I was going to treat you just like another Trek goon, but you were doing a good job of keeping your cool, so I respected that.
And yeah, I like to argue objectively. While we can all have our own opinions on individual events, facts are more or less not subject to our will. And therefore we can make better arguments that way.
While the people I work with are very smart, they have not sat down and taken screen captures and all that... I will go through and read Wongs site, cause I really have not done that. Actually looking forward to it.
It's a good read. lengthy, and the physics is extensive. But he makes an excellent case, and I can't really find much to fault. I like how he accounts for all variables, make good use of all canon events, and even works with film/tv sources for BOTH shows. In fact, he even has a part on world destroyers, which encompasses a lot of major sci-fi shows and movies.
I read Graham's site last year, and I found it a bit... pretentious. Also, his figures were off in a lot of cases. I didn't find it objective enough (And by objective, I don't mean without bias- since that is impossible for one passionate about the subject- I mean his figures weren't clear enough).
Have you ever, as a kid, played with two toys and had them fight each other but you didnt want either of them to loose cause you liked them both? Here is were my dilema comes in...I grew up in the SW era, but I grew up WITH Star Trek cause all I had to do was turn the TV on and there was new ST all the time. I love them both, and I dont want either side to loose. Which is why I wrote the short stories that I did...
I have found them... and I am going to post them again, here... Give them a read and I think you will see more of what I would want out of the VS.
Yeah, I hear you. The hard part is making a decision if you like both. I personally like both (Though more SW than ST, simply because the newer ST shows killed it for me) but in light of the evidence (Even before I had visited Wong's site and Graham's) I always felt SW outstripped ST in -warfare-. ST has some nifty ass tech that goes a long way (And some of it is really not feasible, but that's neither here nor there) but that won't win wars. ST universe is more about exploring than conquering.
PS... I always give props to those who treat others with respect and use there brains... Props to you... you have done well to argue your side.

What are you talking about now? We already know about that site, and I've just questioned its findings.
Dark Aristokrat... I got through the read about the educational levels between Wong and G2k (SW-vs-ST.net guy) and it does seem that Wongs educational level is greater than G2k but I have not read any further yet so I will not discount SW-vs-ST.net... yet...
One thing I have noticed is that Wong focuses more on the ST Technical Manual specs instead of what is represented on the screen (again, I have not looked through the whole site yet). Part of the big controversy about this is that in the ST universe, what is seen on the screen is greater than what is listed in the tech manuals and in the SW universe, what is on the screen is less than what is stated in the tech manuals. For example...
A Star Destroyer took serious damage from an attack on a planet near a star in the novel 'Dark Force Rising' that required three weeks to repair, while a Galaxy-class starship was able to remain within the outer region of a star in the TNG episode 'I Borg'? That gives and interesting comparison of shield strength.
Now I am not saying that ST is greater... or that ST wins... I am just saying that what is represented in the shows greatly out classes the numbers that are on paper. Which is really the main point of SW-vs-ST.net
So... on with the reading.
Oh by the way... what did you think of the short story so far? Kind of gives a better idea of where I am coming from... You can see from the story that I do lean toward the SW side for shear power.

You will by the time you read the entire site. I imagine you're only a bit through. And the important part, aside from the levels of education, is that Wong uses applied mathematics and science, whereas Graham just went on to become a teacher. To Graham, they're just concepts and ideas. Symbols on paper or in one's head. Wong knows how they relate to reality, and uses them that way.

Might be because of the section you're reading. he does use on-screen evidence for both, actually. If you read his reviews fo ST Nemesis and the other ST movies that came out, he not only analyses the plot, but the tech as well.

Unfortunately, that is not the case. ST ships have shown abilities fully within their parameters set down by the tech manuals and rarely if ever anything greater. If you keep reading, you'll see clear instances. Hell, there was one part in one of the ST movies were an entire ship was destroyed from some kind of abberant gas. Also, Riker says in another instance that it would take, quote, "The entire payload of the Enterprise" to destroy an asteroid 5 km across. Compare that with Slave I, in AOTC, where Jango's seismic charges destroy asteroids in bulk.

Hm. Write down any inconsistancies you find, but keep in mind you can't decide all of ST's shield strengths or firepower from just one instance; it has to be consistant. Flukes or random happenings, for either side, shouldn't be evidence of superiority.

Actually, I haven't read it yet. Last night I went straight to bed, and I just got on today. Lemme read it here real quick.
Unfortunately there are lots of inconsistancies on both sides... one that I always get hung up on is speed...
The Falcon can make ".5 past light speed. She's fast enough for ya." Yet they go from place to place faster than that. Supposebly across the galaxy in a matter of hours.
I wish that when people made sci-fi movies and shows that they would design their tech first and actually put a lot of research into it so that there were not so many inconsistancies.
