wait... didnt the book say it was over 50 years old..????? meaning that snape is well over 50? wtf?

i forgot this when i suspected him being the prince when he used legumency on harry and saw him thinking of his potions book... it clicked in that snape was good at potions and was a dark arts freak.. he recognized his spell and the fact that he had written it in a book....
