SW Risk - Rule the Galaxy: Here we go!

Started by Lord Darkstar23 pages

I was just looking over the map again, and I noticed that several planets are not on there, will they be added or do we all get different planets?

They'll be added. I'll redit the map tonight.

List whatever planets aren't on the list if you think of them.

um... Malachor V, Korriban and a few others but fight now I'm to lazy to go and check it all out, maybe later

I'd be a shame to see this thread go to waste...

Since I think I am supposed to give some information on why my forces would bea the forces of Commenor, all I have thus found on it is that it is a temperate planet that was a large trading hub.

I think it had a starfighter squadron based there (I somewhat remember that from the old Rouge Squardon books), so if it had a starfighter base it would have some troops, even if just mimimal and I think the base was quite heavily defended, shields, guns around it, in an area where you have to walk through a narrow canyon to get to it. You may want to double check that but I'm pretty sure its accurate

oh also, can others attack different planets while Glentract attacks his, it would make it go faster. The only stipulation would be that you could not attack other players (for obvious reasons), then we could get more experience, gain more planets and more troops

oh also about the troops, how will we capture them, if we attack them they would die, but we want them in our army, not dead. Will it be that once we capture the base we discover an additional 500 troops or what?

Yeah sure. Lord Darkstar, name your planet of attack.

No. Consider defeated enemies as casualties or prisoners of war.

But, if it's okay with Illustrious, I guess. Just don't want to complicate things.

Nice sig btw, Illustrious.

What the! Janus changed his name again! Deus Ex?!(latin for god) Oh and awsome sig Illustrious

Okay. . .

Glentract. Your troops, led by General Master Yoda, arrive two hundred metres away from the base of a heavily fortified hill, with a peak elevation of one hundred metres. The fortress itself is situated at seventy-five metres up the hill, which itself has a 15 degree slope. The fortifications include horizontal wooden spines at twenty metres up the hill, and a two metre high stone wall at fifty metres up the hill, at which ten snipers are positioned. They are able to fire through key viewports; they will begin a retreat once your troops reach the base of the hill. They possess no cannons or heavy weapons in the ilk, but there is an E-Web Tripod stationed at a balcony on the fortress. If you successfully defeat the enemy, your troop count will be replenished.

However, you must convince the other judges and myself that you can take the base without sustaining devastating casualties. Begin.

One of the judges will do this for every planet attacked.

Thanks.

Yeah, that's exactly how I want it done. Actually prisoners of war won't be necessary. Just like in Risk, we'll assume they fight to the last man.

You will get a single Risk card (trade in 4 Risk cards to get either a 20% boost in your army count or a new general (must be undrafted)).

Excellent. Now, as soon as either Glentract or Darkstar arrive, we can get this underway.

I'm here. What do I need to do?

Read what Faunus types. That basically outlines the fortifications. Choose who you want to attack with (it could be a force however small, or it could be your entire army) and make an argument as to why you should defeat that fortification using all knowledge you know of the situation, and then we will judge you on how well you did (including factoring casualties).

Explain how you will win the planet of Commenor under these circumstances, please.

Do we wait for turns, or can I attack any planet right now that isn't alreayd under attack?

Wait for Glentract, as the first pick, he gets an honorary turn. After that, I'll allow up to 4 players to attack at once (provided they do not attack each other or the same location) just to allow the turns to go by faster.

ok, well for my planet I choose to attack Dagobah, I choose this planet because it is a remote planet that is near to important hyperspace routes. Also, thoughI am unsure of where Korriban is, though it must be in the outer rim (other wise it would be more well known and not forgotten), so Dagobah would be near it.

As for my arguements as to why I would win, well first Marka Ragnos would be able to use beast trick on the animals in the Dagobah swamp, stopping them from attacking my troops and causing them to attack my opponents. I know that Marka can do this because it is an older technique and Marka would have mastered all of the ancient moves. Also, Kriea can for sure cast it (she tought it to the Exile), and since Ulic was around at roughly the same time as Kreia, he would know the power as well. Together my generals could control the beasts getting them to attack the clones, all my army would have to do would be to defend them, and since the clones would be unaware of where my troops are located, it is likely that they would not find us.

So with none of the animals attacking us and the clones not knowing where we are and being attacked by the beasts that I control, they would not be able to search us out. Over-all, the clones would be defeated easily, very possibly without me loosing any troops
