Third, I gave an alternative to the death penalty. If it's justice you're after, life imprisonment would be fine. If it's personal satisfaction, the death penalty. Which would result in your opinion here being invalid. Since what we're after is justice.

Revenge isn't just the act. If you want someone to suffer death as a result of committing a crime, you just want them dead. You don't want justice. OR if justice in your mind is being so hypocritical as to kill them, then you have a very strange and disturbing view of things.
Stop going off one one and implying I mean things that I do not. Second, as I've said before (keep up), if it stops becoming about justice and starts becoming about you wanting them dead, that's when it becomes irrelevant. Because that's what we're discussing, is the death penalty right or just. The answer is no.

You base that on what? My opinion of drugs? If murder were legal I could think of a few people I'd take out. It's not, and nor do I think it should be. There are some people I hate and would quite enjoy to see dead, but I won't kill them because as much as I hate them I don't want to risk my freedom for someone I hate. I respect the fact that there is a law and many aspects of it. Some I do not. Stop making assumptions just because you're flip flopping like a hooked fish.

Here you hit the nail right on the head...it's not allowed by the law...and you wouldn't do it because of the consequences..and you personally do not believe it should be right to do though...but besides being a law there is nothing wrong with it..if the law was different it wuld still be the same thing just now it was legal......

Nope not flip flopping you just summed up exactly why I believe there should be a death penalty and obviously you ceratinly have a healthy fear of it. So some people don't commit crimes due to penalty but its the sociopaths and people that don't care at all we need to worry about.
I have a fear of it? Not at all. I live in the UK.
I don't want to be locked in jail away from my freedom and those I care about for the sake of some idiot. It's not a fear at all. It's just something I would rather do without.
The death penalty has a margin of error, that's one margin too much at any percentage. If the prison systems worked, it wouldn't be needed.
