GS got a cob on and left the forum in a huff for a couple of weeks, I was banned for some shenanigans, so Ill and Demi went off on all sorts of tangents which are extrapolation as far as I can see. Demi less than ill and GS now thinks the 3 of you endorse his wacky theories as fact. 😂
As if any theories beyond what Marvel state in the handbook are fact.
GS though really can't cope with the handbook so he is trying to rewrite and interpret it as he wishes, I think House of M really shows what Marvel itself thinks over the overpowering of mutants. But thats only my interpretation 😖hifty:
GS can't cope with this its a little sad.
Leonidas if you want some info on something Phoenix related even if its indirectly Phoenix you should have the common sense not to ask Whirly because you will not get an objective answer.
The ReedForce/Bunny talk on here was the result of a misinterpretation by KG. He read the comic didnt understand it and started spouting off. Whirly (who has made it his personal mission to discredit any notions that Phoenix is anything more than a Galactus level abstract) jumped on the bandwagon as per usual basing his opinion on Kg's words and three out of context scans KG posted. Not the comic book. Just like he admittedly has not read either New X-men, X-men Forever, Endsong or any recent Uncanny issues yet continues to think that between his 1970's knowledge and fansites he knows enough to dismiss any interpretation that doesnt match his own.
I came on to the forum saw the scans and KG's argument and immediately saw holes in it however i said nothing until i had collected the entire story arc myself. I read it and as i thought found KG's interpretation left alot to be desired. I proceded to tear it apart. KG thought that Reed and the Bunny generated the Big Bang and went on to create the Marvel Universe. Hence the ReedForce and Cosmic Bunny talk A foolish notion. I had to relay to them that as stated when Eternity came to sentience in the Void his questions on existence triggerred the Big Bang the manifestation of the Phoenix and the release of the Cosmic egg. Reed and The Bunny travelled back in time prior to this event and they questioned existence. "Why is there life and whats its purpose?" they triggered off the Big Bang in the exact same way Eternity did before their time travelling. The comic went on to say that they could do so because they, like all people, all life are as much a part of the universe as the stars. They were extensions of Eternity. Due to stubborness from KG (who finally thought he'd got me) and Whirly(who realised he had foolishly played part in yet another flop attempt at discreditation) it took a day or so but the matter was cleared up. KG conceded and Whirly went on his usual spamming campaign before things finally settled down.
Then a few weeks later this bio came out. At first read it seemed like there had been a retcon. I skimmed through didnt see any mention of the Crown and to be honest i thought f*ck this nows a good a time as any to catch up with my uni work and i'll come back after a few weeks.
During the weeks i read the bio again properly and then it dawned on me (especially after the release of Off Hbook: Alternate Universes) that this wasnt the sum total of the Phoenix Force but merely its universal manifestation as stated. Thats why there was no mention of the Phoenix stories of New X-men as they took place in another timeline and were thus covered in the AU Handbook. Then on further inspection the Crown was apparently still a central part of Marvel and Phoenix going by its referral in the bio as the "core of creation" and it being linked to Phoenix. Nothing had changed at all. I then read this thread and found that posters like Demi and Ill had come to the same conclusion (minus the religion lol).
So thats the gist of it Leo. As youve seen Whirly has no valid contribution to make hence the trolling. The man admittedly hasnt read the comics but what he has done is take this matter way too personally to be healthy. 🙁
What started off as an old mans spite thread has done nothing but reaffirm the Phoenixes role and position in Marvel. Whirly unfortunately cant take being at the helm of another flop attempt and before he receives a final ban it seems his intentions are to go out with a bang.
Poor guy.🙁
Let the trolling commence. 🙄 😂
