Trying is admirable...as long as you love peopel for who they are, not what they could become.
Agreed, to a point.
I do not love the murderer for who he is, only what he could have been. I do not love the rapist for what he is, only what he could have been. I do not love the pedophile for what he is, only for what he could have been. I feel sad, and I would love them because they are misguided human beings, but I do not love them for what they are as far as their actions.
Now, given this, I do not love individuals for what their actions make them in these types of instances. And by extension, I do not love the part of individuals that encompasses their failings, I love the part of them that desires to not fail.

Perhaps then they are not deserving of your love? Perhaps they only deserve their rights as human beings and nothing more.

Despite the depth of depravity a person descends into, a person can still return. If I decide that a person is incapable of returning, I have set a limit. If I set that limit, who will set the point of no return for my actions? I don't believe that I have the capacity to make that judgement. The Biblical example says a person that is without sin is the only one worthy of making that judgement, and in its context that person would not make it. We should love others in spite of the things they do that we do not love, otherwise, why should they return?

Your beholder.........what about others beholders...........and ok then........what about those that don't judge at all but only love...
There is nothing wrong with judging as long as the judgment is not hasty, based on first-glance, or unjust.
John 7:24
Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment.
Here is how the Amplified Bible translates this same passage of Scripture:
John 7:24 (Amplified Bible)
Be honest in your judgment and do not decide at a glance (superficially and by appearances); but judge fairly and righteously.
🙂
Judging is different than condemning and many people do not see this. It is also important to understand the implications of judging someone. I find that judging someone chanes your perspective and approach towards them. This is often wrong. I think that no matter what people do we must treat them with love and hope that they can repent (secularly or religously) and improve themselves.

The Amplified Bible inserts text in an attempt to make it easier to understand. If any text in existence falls under condemnation by this verse:
Revelations 22:18
18 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book
This version of the Bible does.

We should never judge because we don't know what caused a person to be where they are at this point in time......
Like the saying "Don't judge me unless you've walked in my shoes"
