First off, I am both a Batman , and Captain America fan. Not picking favorites, only who I think would win. I still say Batman.
The current argument seems to be about Batman mastering 127 different styles of martial arts.
Is it generally agreed by all that Batman is not normal. He is a genius, but he has got some serious, major issues. The Joker raves about how Batman is one screw away from being a resident at Arkham Asylum. This is true.
Back to point... that craziness / compulsion / guilt feelings over his parents death / and a huge deathwish is the reason why he would take the time to master 127 martial arts, and gymnastics, and detective skills, meditation, and computers, weapons design, and god knows what else. No one else would.
It is why the Batman creates weapons to be able to beat his friends, and other heroes. It is why he would practice surviving out in space, risking serious injury or death, until the Martian Manhunter pulls him back in. It is why every hero respects him and wants him to be on their team, when in a fight, yet calls him a kook behind his back.
Cap has the everyday problems everyone else has, be he is not border line psychotic. Batman wins because his skills are way superior. His stamina isn't so bad either. 😉

Batman has trained since he was a child. This has been proved. With reason I have posted, as well as many others in this thread, Cap is not Batman's superior in fighting skills. Sorry.

If marvel grants someone with more ability or new powers without justification then whose to say they are wrong? They are the creators! We must accept that without argument. I am pretty sure that marvel is not very stupid. They have a good reason for saying that cap is a master of all forms of combat in over countless places along with caps quote that he is. Maybe it is a comic we have missed. I'm sure no one on this forum site has read all of the captain america comics or all the comics with him in there. Silent master shows an example of this above.

I think I learned more about Batman and Captain America here than in the comics themselves, plus the opinions on the whys and hows are amazing.
My opinion was neutral as both fighters are exceptional but this thread has proven Batman would win from what I've read, not by much and it would probably take him to near death to win, but he would.

He is more durable (able to take harder hits)
Has more stamina
Has better reflexes (this is crucial)
Has more speed (this is crucial as well)
Cap wins 9/10*
To be honest I've seen Batman get hit more by non-meta humans than I've seen Captain has (And cap didn't use his shield to block them either)
note: I would say 10/10 but chance plays a part (someone could slip or someting)

Why yes, you DID post Cap hitting Thor on this thread! (God, this thread is like crack...) Honestly, what have I posted that's PIS? Heck, even Batman vs. Superman was CIS, and that was only in response to you posting the Thor fight first. Batman does crazy stuff, but he does a lot of it over and over and over again. It's in character, it's consistant, you just choose to write it off because you don't like it.

Show me Cap's striking power. I've got 2 instances of Batman kicking down trees. Cap benches a little bit more, but Batman hits really, really, really hard.
Batman's suit is far better than Cap's. Any difference in their bodies' durabilities is more than made up for.
Stamina does indeed go to Cap, congratulations.
Prove Cap's reflexes. Again, I have Batman weaving a LOT of gunfire and catching arrows and crossbow bolts. And Impulse. 🙂
Speed goes with reflexes, really. Batman is at least fast enough to get through Zeiss's defenses, Zeiss being both a skilled martial artist and having enhnaced reflexes.

I've seen Batman injure Wonderwoman and Solomon Grundy with his strikes... What's your point?
Cap wasn't training for thousands of years. He was fighting, which means his experience is apparently crazy awesome, but he wasn't learning anything new. Batman's training, not his expereince, is far more extensive than Cap's.
Uh, that was the artwork, meant to imply that he was moving quickly, not Cap actually multiplying himself. I do have scans of Batman drawn like that though, yes.
Cap's an acrobat? Ok. I can deal with both that AND strength in ONE scan! OMFG!!!!
I'd agree, mental toughness is pretty much equal. They're both freaking humans who fight against superpowered killing machines. It just comes with the territory.
Each take 5/10. Batman has advantages, Cap has advantages, none of them are major. They are perfectly evenly matched, each match would be won or lost becuase on something tiny, be it a slip, a pause, or simply the guy who gets the first good shot.

It doesn't matter how much stamina Captain America has. If he fights long enough, eventually Batman will memorize, adapt, decipher, and BEAT all of Cap's martial arts skills.
