There's still a lot of stuff Captain America supporters haven't responded to:Read the end of page 49 and beginning of 50. And as for whoever said that Captain America would punch through the suit, well Batman's suit is more than just kevlar and nomex; its an armor suit.
This is basicly an old fashioned brawling match, so I will give it to Cap.
While Batman relies much on his gadgets and his suit for combat edge, Cap essentially uses his skills (oh and a sheild).
Obviously Bats wouldnt go down easily, thats for sure, but Cap has more combat experience, has a super soldier syrum and while Bats relies on his brains much of the time, Cap also does, just focusing on how he can bring his opponent down on his own rather than with gadgets or whatnot.
If Bats had his gadgets, this would probobly go to him but in this fight Cap takes the title.

Batman's cowl covers the chin, and I doubt Captain America will steal a win just because of an exposed chin. If Cap aims for the chin, then Batman pokes Captain America's eyes out. What with Batman's eye shields an all, should be an easy victory right? Poke Steve's eyes out then aim for Captain America's chin. Trust me, an exposed chin doesn't constitute a victory; the entire body is pretty much armored.

One punch to the chin isn't going to knock Batman out, but two fingers with knives built into the gauntlet gauging Captain America's eye sockets will most definitely put an end to the fight. The "chin" is a pointless argument, the suit protects Bats from whatever combat he's going to face.

Uh... is this Batman that we're talking about or Sabretooth, when in all of comic book history has Batman ever poked a mans eyes out? Sounds kind of desperate to me.
First of all Batman has a huge weakness that even I can see. His cape! The only thing that Captain America would have to do is exploit Batman's cape, by pulling over his head. The rest I'll leave to your imagination. Nahhh! how about this once he grabs a hold of it, what would stop him from removing it? It does come off right? If so I guess he would no longer be invulnerable like Superman right?
Batman has been hurt by people that weren't as strong as Captain America... you have made his whole costume into a farce, it isn't vibranium, or is it that you are hiding behind Batman's armor saving him from the inevitable?
He can't, and never should be able to beat Captain America. Then again I notice that people seem to completely ignore what the writers (Busiek) say about characters, that they have written about for years.

If batman feels your eyes will grow back then considered your eyes poked out.

The cape is not a weakness and since as he is not using any gadgets then the cape is useless I don't see him wearing the cape. And yes the cape can come off in a blink of an eye. Meaning it is very easy for him to take it off.

Batman has been hurt by normal people who are not as strong as Cap. all that say it batman is still human. Nevertheless it still stands that batman can still hurt people as strong as Cap.

Batman has and has always demonstrated his ability to hurt people as strong as Cap. and some even stronger. Well Mr. Busiek still said that it was up to us to decide. And you what I know, I know that Cap and batman are equal in the skill department. If you feel Cap. is more skilled please fill free to start proving it.

Why would it be desperate? Bruce is smarter than Steve Rogers, he'd do whatever it takes.

Cape comes off, just like Cap's eyes.
If so I guess he would no longer be invulnerable like Superman right?
What are you talking about?
Batman has been hurt by people that weren't as strong as Captain America
Vice Versa to Captain America; ever met the Punisher or Dare Devil? Those guys were weaker than Captain America.
... you have made his whole costume into a farce, it isn't vibranium, or is it that you are hiding behind Batman's armor saving him from the inevitable?
The suit is ARMOR; you know that right?
An open chin or a cape is not going to constitute victory for Captain America. Batman outclasses him: The difference in learning, the difference in intelligence, the difference in useful experience, the difference in variety, the difference in suit protection.
What about the gloves w/Knives in them? Would you consider that a gadget?
Okay, we can go FURTHER on the definition of "Gadget." The super serum is a gadget; lets take that away from Captain America. Afterall, where would Steve Rogers be without his mechanical devices: no Vita-Ray machines, no oral chemical solutions, no vein-injecting needles, and no super serum to metabolize. Now, let's put "non-super serum" injected skinny 'ol Steve Rogers with Bruce Wayne and lets see how many times he can be made to scream Bucky. OR, lets give Batman the super serum; that would make it a fair fight. Batman can already bench 700 WITHOUT the super serum because of his hard work, and Captain America can bench 800 WITH the super serum. So if you allow Bats to get some of that extra-curricular magical serum..hmm. So if you really want to strip Batman of everything he has, even the stuff that's not on his belt, then well.. re-evaluating the definition of gadgetry would mean Steve Rogers loses his super serum. So finally, when you think about it, the only reason Cap even stands a chance is because of gadgets, in the physiological/mechanical sense.

Captain America's super serum was/is a gadget. Every time Hourman injects himself with serum it temporarily grants him one hour of super strength, super speed etc. Captain America is the same, except his gadget is permanent. Just because it works longer doesn't mean its not a gadget. Just because its artificially a part of him doesn't mean its not a gadget.
"a device that is very useful for a particular job"
Yes, the super serum is an amalgamation of Vita-Ray radiating machines, oral chemical solutions, and exotic chemicals in intravenous needles. He is taking all these and turning it into one giant gadget for a particular job: physiological enhancement. It IS a gadget.
