Captain America vs Batman(no shield-no gadgets)

Started by Rage.Of.Olympus220 pages

Physically speaking I would say the two are about even in most categories. Captain America does have the stamina advantage, and probably the speed advantage, but Batman have the skill advantage in my opinion.

It's split for the most part in my opinion.

cap is stronger than batman is

Your opinion is noted. The bomber jet has been refitted with twice the payload to terminate you with extreme prejudice as well... commie.

Cap has all physical advantages, including strength. Batman is roughly equal in skill to Cap. uhuh

One of these days, I'm going to nuke you! Just wait and see!

I disagree. Batman clears the gap with his skill rather easily. In combat, he's easily as impressive as Cap, and without any physical alterations. Check out some of the foes Batman has kung-fu gripped. 😉

^ There is no proof Batman is more skilled than Cap. But if you do look at their respective foes for reference, Cap's unmatched use of leverage has him toppling foes that, on average, outclass Batman's.

Also, as a reflection of our current economic struggles, the administration has deemed that cost-cutting measures for search and destroy missions are to be implemented immediately. The current budget only allows for two missiles to be used per day. As such, you can expect to be sniped by a CIA operative shortly after noon tomorrow. Thank you and have a nice day. God bless America.

in (iirc) the dark knight "venom" #1, batman busts his deltoid trying to press 600lbs.

he then visits a venom dealer and takes some pills, goes home and tries again but this time with the roids he's able to lift the weight.

cap on the other hand can lift at least 800 under stress. iirc

That's silly as I've seen Batman lift basically a 1000lbs before.

These two are pretty much even in most categories except Captain America has the stamina, and probably the speed edge in my opinion while Batman has the skill edge.

1000lbs? PIS

That's all cosmetic anyways. Cap has greater running speed, but that won't help too much. Batman is at least equal in combat speed. We've seen him disarms or disable groups of people fast enough enough that he could likely impress Flash at times.

Hasn't he done it more than once?

Supported a 1000lbs I mean.

True enough.

how did his strength jump that high without drugs? it's virtually twice what couldn't get off the ground before.

I don't know. I can probably dig and find scans if you want it bad enough.

That really shouldn't surprise you though seeing as what else Batman has done.

I call the moment where he hurt himself lifting that much weight PIS as he was able to lift more in the past.

how though? that moment was instrumental to the origin of bane. but seriously, one thousand is almost double what he struggled to budge before.

i'll look for the issue to comfirm.

ok, it was 630 lbs, and batman only bent the bar in the middle but hthe weights stayed put.

before that happened, a little girl drowned in a cave because with all his might, batman could not budge a piece of cement to drain the water. the weights were the same as what the boulder weighed since batman wanted to see if approximately 600lbs was the limit to his lifting strength.

(he set the clock to the death of his parents, he was obviously reliving the feelings of helplessness)

he was under the impression that it was the lack of grip on the rock due to it being slick and slightly round at the bottom, but since he confirmed later with the exact same weight in the form of a barbell, 630lbs is out of the question. it even damaged his arm.

I read the issues I know what happened. One would call that moment PIS as Batman has lifted more in the past, a lot more, without harming himself.

His lifted that much before he hurt himself lifting that 600lbs - 700lbs in weight.

His lifted around a 1000lbs I believe twice. Not sure about the second time but I can check.
