your argument is BAD. Ruth hit 59 home runs in 1921 and 60 in 1927 both of these were 154 game season. That would be 8 less than marris, McGwire, and Bonds played (162) That means Bonds hit 13 more home runs in only 8 more games.
This means Ruth was hitting 0.38 homeruns a game while Bonds was hitting 0.45 homeruns a game.
Also Bonds only played 153 games the year he hit 73, he also walked 40 mor times than Ruth and Ruth had 64 MORE at bats than bonds did.
Marrris may have hit his 61'st the last game of the regular season, but Ruth hit his 60th in the playoffs so i see it as fair game
