Babe Ruth the true homerun king

if you want to say babe ruth was the better home run hitter then i would possible agree, my point is that when talking about the actuall records i dont care if someone gets a million more at bats if they are able to stay that long and break the record it is theirs.

What If Pujols (or anyone) finishes his career with 600 HR's in only like 5,900 AB's would you then say they are the HR king of all time over Ruth?

No, I wouldnt, but for different reasons, those I said before.

so even though he would of crushed Ruths' HR per AB ration which you guys base everything on it still wouldnt matter because he couldnt play as long? so your saying theyd have to first break Ruth's record of 714 and then second do it with a better HR to AB ratio also?

exactly. 👆

on that show bonds on bonds he said that he had passed every drug test thrown at him. i dunno when he took 1 but he passed it, i dont know how long it stays in your system too

I dont know how long steroids stay in somebodies system and I'm too lazy to look it up.

That's somebody elses arguement, not mine. My arguement is that it was a completly different game back then, and my personal opinion is that it was alot harder to hit homeruns. It helps that AB ratio is higher than anybody else who is considered to be the top home run hitter, but to me, they're are other things to consider, like park sizes, how tight the ball was wound, and better pitchers.

If Bonds gets it( I should say when) people should deal with it. Babe was good, but Bonds will take the Babes record. Once again I would like to ask why everybody accuses Bonds of using, when he is yet to fail a test. Okay it may appear he uses, but it is yet to be proven....

True, but everybody thinks OJ Simpson still killed his wife even if he was aquitted of all charges.

Thats nothing like this, OJ DID murder, Bonds hits a ball.....Even if you would compare the two OJ had a fluky trial and the Jurors/Prosecutor/others idiots were all stupid and blind to ACTUAL evidence Bonds still has no ACTUAL evidence....

could we maybe just say that Josh Gibson was the real king?

The passed drug test was last year. So how long ago did he suddenly turn humungous?

Well they have good reason to.If this was anybody else and not a celebrity, no way would the jury not convict the man.Everybody knows there is one different law for politicians and celebritys and one different one for us,where they get special treatment and get off the hook.No way would people like us get the special treatment that O.J got.

You got to remember that the drug tests only started last year though and of course Bonds is not going to admit it while he is still playing the game. 😂 Pretty funny how all of a sudden when they started the drug tests last year when Bonds wasnt playing, that this year he all of a sudden is having a very hard time hitting home runs now.very fishy.

BOnds shouldnt even be in the MLB, he broke the rules, and you people want to reward him with a HR record?

Bonds, and the other Juicer players are a disgrace to baseball, they took a trustful game and made it nolonger fun to watch, if they give him the record I will banned Mlb on any of my stations(most of them I own are local, but its the thought that counts)

well MLB secretly loved steroids. The massive HR run of the big 3 really helped put baseball back on the map. And Bonds didnt actual break a rule even if we assume he did take steroids, it wasnt against a baseball rule at the time. Also a TON of people took steroids including pitchers. THe reason people get on Bonds so hard is hes a bit of an ******* already and he happens to be one of the best players of all time even if you end his career long before all of this.

if he isnt give me something that says hes not

name someone else who has hit a baseball 700 ft. the longest in MLB history is Ruth's 620.

Mud blood you are right any player who either admits or is PROVEN to have taken steroids should be thrown out of baseball, players will be more hesitant to use it. Yet again where is the ACTUAL evidence against Bonds other than these accusations?

not to mention over 900 in career and over 80 in a season, and his stats are very likely incomplete.

i agree, the low estimates have him between 800-950 but im thinkin over 1000 or so including a bating average of 370 or 440 depending on the source, beats the crap outta Ty Cobb. just imagine if he didnt get a brain tumor and retired at 34 im thinkin around 1500 but probabaly more.
