If you'd actually read X-Men Forever 1-6, you'd know it's all about humanity's role in the design of the abstracts. Strangers keys are Marko, Jean, Iceman, Toad, and Mystique.
And actully, it is kneeling before the Phoenix as you can clearly see it on the scan.

Maybe you should READ the panels instead of looking at just the picture. Clearly the text, picture, previous panel, next panel, and all of X-Men Forever 1 to 6 points to the Stranger.

Of course he didn't have, and also Jean didn't have. He knew about process of the Universe and he wanted to quicken that process using the Phoenix Force thrugh Jean.
He knew humans are key.
And Jean is the ultimate in using the Phoenix Force.
i still dont believe that death is taht big a force for the LT if he's as strong as you say, she's a nobody she's died before you cant say she can just kill you and thats it she's a weakling compared to other cosmics she is embaressed by inbetweener, even got punked by dr strange, she cant be as powerful as you claim.

Here Eternity is explaining to Jean how the Universe works and how it has lead to us....Already proved this many times over...Phoenix is the SPARK that ignites the natural Big Bang of a Universe, which ends life and begins life in said Universe.
Phoenix is NOT the Big Bang and the scan clearly tells us the Celestials SEEDED the Universe with Creation and the Celestial were created by Eternity.

Ok, here Eternity says, "like Galactus was the sole survivor...so shall Humanity Begin the End, End the Beginning."
NOTHING about Phoenix.

I NEVER SAID Death had anything on LT!
But Death does have power over death and life...and...Death CAN kill or resurrect any being she wishes upto a certain level...the ONLY beings that can not be killed by Death are those that are more powerful than her...but Death still has status over them.
Try and understand Everything and Anything that dies within Marvel comics, dies Because of the Concept of Death.
So she doesn't exercise much power most of the time but why should she...in the end ALL succumb to her embrace...
