I'm glad you responded. You've done well for yourself and you've had children and you strike me as pretty happy. I don't doubt that it might have been a struggle at times in your youth, but what helped more? People with attitudes like Docs or your own motivation?
My own motivation, naturally.

I don't know. But he made a very clear point. He himself did more for low wage individuals, than any Government help had.LOL I figured sooner or later you would 😆
Look, honey, this "I had the responsibility to hire and fire people to perform a job. And you know what....it wasn't the young black men that worked for me that never showed up. 9 times out of 10 it was the white guys with piss poor attitudes and the older black men. " just hardly makes sense. Mostly because he does not say which ones are the ones he hired and which ones are the ones he fired. And also because I don't see the difference between the white guy with a poor attitude and the black guy who doesn't show up (pretty bad attitude as well).
Oh and, well, i was kind of trying, so now I am done with that you'll have me around for longer.

It all goes back to Soleran and Dr Z
Dr. Zaius seems to think that the natural state of mind for a young black man is to just feed off the teet of the government. And that's not the case in most instances I've encountered. On top of that, he seems to think that black people do it proportionally more than white people.
And Soleran seems to think I talk a big talk, but I'm not willing to do what I say would help. But I'm one person, and until more people are willing to act the way they want others to act, then this sad state of affairs will continue.

What did you do to the each of them?

When I started in the job, I made less than the least earning employee I had when I left the job to go back to school. When I took over as head of physical security for North America at a large heavy truck manufacturer, teh average pay was 6.50 to 7 $ an hour for any new security officer. And the insurance wasn't company subsidized at all...it all came out of the guards paycheck. So, most went without health insurance. You can't get descent insurance on that kind of paygrade. It took me almost a year of arguing with my superiors to get the lowest paygrade raised to $9 and to get the company to help pay for health insurance. And before that, the employees that were prone not to show up for their shift were the younger white guys and the older black and white men. The younger black guys ALWAYS showed up. And they were the ones that got promoted and paid accordingly. Once I got the pay increase and health insurance issues worked out, EVERYONE started showing up consistantly.
So the point is, pay people a descent wage for a descent days work and people will show up. But if you keep the minimum wage so low, is it really worth it for people to show up for work when teh alternative is doing what they want that day vs only loosing 40 bucks for the day?
On top of that minimum wage check being less than a person can live on, the government still takes their cut through taxes. So, keeping the minimum wage down is one thing. That's the corporate lobby in Washington..democrat and republican. But keeping the tax codes as are is very much a conservative issue.

It doesn't matter where you put your money, socialize and you make the same as everyone else, get it?

Hey just thought I would help your attitude here free of charge. If the company offers health insurance it is subsidized by the company, you just opt not to partake in the plan.
DOUBLE POST!

Not when you get your officers from a security company, who offer no subsidized health insurance.
And I'm all for socialism.
