That's completely absurd and wrong. He doesn't have enough showings to be put that high. Cass, Shiva, Batman, Dragon, and Bronze Tiger are all better than he is.

Nope. Drakon had a one time showing that had him beat Connor. That's PIS. He was a one hit wonder. He doesn't belong umongst the best, nor is he better than Bats, Shiva, Cass, and Dragon.
Are you sure? Do you have scans of Batman/Shiva/Batgirl/Richard beating the shit out of Drakon? If not....then I hardly see how it is PIS for there to be a better fighter out there.
Originally posted by AlfheimI've never said fights can't include both. But the three terms are three distinct situations. CIS is character induced, it's the way characters are always written, Absorbing Man is an idiot, as is Rhino, or the character is written to know their strength and hold back - Superman always holds back thus Kara Zor-El bet him when he was doing so - that can arguably also be PIS. PIS is when a writer deliberately lowers an opponents abilities in a fight to make both characters near equal despite the stronger characters other showings to advance the plot - the important points here are writer lowered and advance the plot. SvFL is when characters perform single feats which occur rarely if ever again.
Anyway there is really no point in you answering that question about the gorillas xmarksthespot because you have now decided that fights can be both CIS and PIS. You have probably realised that fight can be all three CIS, PIS and SvFL.My problem with you is that originally you thought that fights could not be both PIS and CIS as seen in the Iron Spidey example.
You then changed your mind.

"The ones that give me most pause are people like Drakon.
I still say a DC editor wasn't paying much attention. The problem with that is that comics are written/drawn fiction, and thus if an editor goes to sleep you can have Huntress beating Batman in H2H or something similarly wacky. Or say Arsenal pimp slapping Superman (none of the above happened, but for it to happen all that would be necessary is someone to draw it as such and for the editing department that takes care of continuity to be asleep).
Drakon is great, but having him beat Connor like it was nothing, and yer Connor has faced off against Dragon and Shiva (and not lost respect), basically makes Drakon the very best in 'normal' DC.
Yet Shiva/Cassie/Dragon are also written as the top tier.
Again, there is a reason why Drakon simply disappeared from DC continuity. Too many loose ends."
Spetznaz has spoken!!! Now shut up!!! 😛

You still haven't posted a scan of Batman, Shiva, Cass, or Richard owning Drakon in a hand to hand situation.
Till you do, it doesn't matter if Drakon disappears from DC continuity. It doesn't matter if he NEVER reappears. As it stands, he still beat the hell out of one of the top DC fighters. Meaning, HE is one of the top fighters in DC.

No, see now that's not fair. Drakon only has ONE appearence, and that was beating Connor. That's why nobody puts anomolies like Drakon as one of the top characters in terms of martial arts. I believe one of the characters in DC has a list of the greatest martial artists on earth. Funny that Drakon didn't appear on that list.
