In the 616 Universe story though, (what the Watcher was retelling in the prior Scan) she had her Full Power, and was killed.

IIRC, If you go back and reread the original story, it points out that Jean/Phoenix Force was not at full power during this fight. 🙂
There a part in the story where Cyke use his optic blast to drop millions of tons of rock upon Phoenix's head and the narrative explains that she has not reached her full power level.
I can look it up to make sure I'm not giving you misinformation though. 😕

Before the fight and during the fight she was de-powered
The Watcher is telling the story exactly the way it happened.
Then,
towards the end of the fight Phoenix regains her Full Power
And is Killed.

I doubt a What If Timeline, will be the same as a 616 Timeline.
After all, that's why they call it an Alternate Reality (things happen differently)
a weaker phoenix than jean has gone toe to toe with galactus, and jean has eaten a star from the inside out. do you really think the laser put her down of it's own merit, especially since the scan clearly shows jean struggling to subdue the force so she could die and not kill anymore?
on top of that, shi'ar death lasers are nothing to sneer at.

1. In Exiles 1-3 Wolverine kills a full powered Phoenix with his claws.
2. Galactus uses the UN to erase her.

that's because you haven't really posed them. you are stating two and three as facts, when they're not. for two, that's fine. if you want to make an ultimate nullifier+galactus v phoenix thread, that's your business. personally, i think artifacts are pretty cheap. aunt may with the ultimate nullifier would do just as well. and as for the entropy wave, i can't really speculate.
don't misunderstand me, i think ion would win this match. but your anti-phoenix stuff is very, very tiring. especially since you seem to be blind to rebuke. especially because nothing new has been added to the argument in ages, that's pretty repetetive. and ESPECIALLY because i've gone through all this once before, about a year ago.
my tapdancing could only hope to compare, mawster (no pun intended...wait...pun intended). i've seen all those scans. and the rachel grey scans have been outdated by recent information that unequivocally states jean=the true phoenix.
