If I really wanted to wank that feat, I could point out the average speed of lightning is that slow only because of the air friction from the origin and destination of the lightning bolt, over a shorter distance, it should be faster. But 60,000 meters per second is more than enough.
Of course there is also the time that Kratos reacted and blocked from point blank the explosion in Chains of Olympus, which IIRC was calculated to mach 28.

If you want to be able to swat something as fast as lighting out of the air, reaction time by itself would not be enough, you need to be able to see it coming AND move your arm fast enough to match or slightly exceed the bolt of lighting. Kratos has both kinds of speed. He doesn't use his super speed often because it aint his style.

You know, the same thing Kratos did the a mountain sized giant with eyeballs the size of cars and optocal nerves the size of anacondas and it incapacitated him for around a minute? Kratos is fast enough to get his hand up and stops it and is able to walk forward and adjust his palm to block the light.
Oh and for the record , next time you want to ask for a video, Try asking this way, "Hey, I don't recall that, may you please show me the clip?" OR "I never played the game so I don't know much about it, can you link me to the video?" Talk like a normal person, don't go trying to make some dumb comparison like "Hey check this out idiot, this is how much better my post is than yours and this is how stupid and terrible yours is". See, I need videos of all this happening, I am not doing your work for you, if I am lazy you must be just as lazy, unable to copy-paste a link and explain \ prove how someone was reacting at light-speed.
Show the incapacitation of this giant, show the blocking... the precise moment he blocks the light. So I can take your argument and double check it!
Also I wasn't aware this was GoW 3 Kratos as this thread was made before 2 even came out.

In a debate, normally things said without evidence is simply ignored by all parties. Sometimes called out by the 'Judge' and the team has 'points' taken off for it.

Because this was over before it started. Sephiroth runs at full speed with all his might, passion and soul with his sword pointed at the gut of Kratos and BAM, sephiroth explodes into a million little pieces on impact.
And Aura yes you are probably indeed missing something. That is probably the demo version. I'm talking about the canon version. The clip present in the full game. So you go on ahead and keep laugh your ass off at whatever it is you where laughing at. But someone post the real video. I cannot because I am on a low speed internet phone. Kratos puts his hand up right when helios attempts to flash him with his light.

That said, I don't think I see Light-speed reactions here. His Left hand does not cover his eyes before the Light reaches him.

And Golden Spy dear child, you told me to look up Kratos ripping off his head. That was the first video to come up, besides a slow-mo video which doesn't show it either. So really can I be blamed for finding a demo clip when that was what your advice led me to?
And that is not a light speed feat anyway, so none of it mattered. So thank you. The entertainment was appreciated.
You wouldn't be able to tell from that angle to well, but the fact of the matter is that he wasn't blinded and he had his hand up. We also know that when that light hits someone it incapaciates creates to the point that they could not see a forest from the tree's.
So if Kratos had not blocked it, he would have been blinded and stumbling around like a bald drunk fool. But not only was he not blinded, he was still able to percieve things and even the source of the light and was able to walk in the direction of helios, which he would not be able to do if he were flashed.
So to put it simply
A. Helios Attempts to blind Kratos with a light speed flash
B. Kratos was not blinded and was able to walk in the direction of Helios
C.To avoid the flash, Kratos would have to percieve the flash coming and react before it affected him.
D. Therfore Kratos light timed

No, it more seems like the initial starting of the light wasn't powerful enough to blind and that the second part was the exact moment the blinding flash went off.
Pause it exactly as 5:03 starts and you will notice Kratos is still reaching for his weapons while the light from Helios is illuminating him.
Aura, this aint your normal light, this stuff has knocked giants heads back just by it hitting. It's powerful. The fact remains that Kratos was able to track down the source. Something he could not have done if he was blind.
Killer, it doesn't matter. If the first part wasn't strong enough, he would still be blinded by the second part if he didn't react fast enough. And i'm talking about the left hand. He didn't use his right hand to block it. You can't see the left hand as it's covered in light.
And if you wanna use in game descriptions as evidence. Kratos makes the entire planet shake with the nemean cestus.
Helios blinds things with it. Way more powerful than a normal flashlight. If someone could please post the fight against Cronos to see how powerful it is. That's just from Kratos manipulating his head. Helios himself in control trying to kill Kratos, there's no reason he would reduce his own powers and set 2 different kinds of intensities for no reason.
Closing his eyes is still a reaction time.
